Founded under the pastoral leadership of Tom Donovan, a Calvary Chapel pastor and founder of Freedom Chapel Fellowship. Lordsbook stands firmly within historic, orthodox, evangelical Christianity as reflected in the doctrinal convictions of Freedom Chapel Fellowship.

Core Doctrinal Beliefs

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible, from Genesis 1 through Revelation 22 is the complete and final revelation of God to humanity.

We believe the Scriptures are verbally inspired, inerrant in the original manuscripts, infallible, and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe the Bible is the sufficient rule for doctrine, correction, instruction, and righteous living.

2. The Nature of God

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

He is sovereign, holy, just, loving, and perfect in all His attributes.

3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.

He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return personally and visibly.

4. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

Salvation is not earned by works but is the free gift of God.

We believe that at the moment of genuine faith in Christ, eternal life begins immediately.

We believe in the eternal security of the believer — that true salvation cannot be lost.

Because we are saved, we are called to good works, evangelism, discipleship, and obedience — not to earn salvation, but as evidence of it.

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, seals, empowers, and sanctifies believers.

He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and the judgment to come.

6. The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of followers of Christ (born-again believers).

The mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel, make disciples, teach sound doctrine, and live as witnesses to the world.

7. The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ.

We affirm the future resurrection of the saved and the unsaved, eternal life for the redeemed, and eternal separation for those who reject Christ.

Every member is reviewed and vetted to preserve integrity and spiritual safety.

2. Family-Friendly Environment

Our platform contains no profanity, vulgarity, or inappropriate content.

3. Biblical Content

All official teaching, encouragement, and doctrine must align with Scripture (we can not screen each & every user's posts).

4. Completely Free Community

Lordsbook is free for community usage.

5. Data Integrity and Privacy

We will never sell user data — to anyone, anywhere, for any reason

6. Biblical Teaching

Official teaching content is provided by Pastor Tom to equip believers and discipline the world with the word.

We believe:

The Bible is the inerrant Word of God.

Salvation is by grace through faith.

Eternal life begins at the moment of salvation.

A believer cannot lose their salvation.

Good works follow genuine faith.

The entire Bible is complete, authoritative, and sufficient.

A Message from Lordsbook Leadership

To everyone who has been part of Lordsbook — past and present —

First, we want to say WE ARE SORRY

During our growth and growing pains, mistakes were made. Some accounts were not verified properly. Some slipped through the cracks. Some experienced frustration with new features. Others struggled with our biblical vetting and screening questions. We also experienced individuals signing up with false names, scammers causing disruptions, and behavior that affected the peace of the community.

As we worked to protect the integrity of the platform and maintain a biblically sound, vetted fellowship, some sincere and genuine users may have been impacted in ways that caused frustration or discouragement.

For that, we humbly ask for your forgiveness.

Our heart has always been to build a trusted, Christ-centered community where believers can grow in the Word, encourage one another, and fellowship in truth. But growth sometimes reveals weaknesses in systems — and we are committed to correcting them.
