When Things Don’t Go as Planned June 23,2026. O keep my soul , and deliver me :let me not be ashamed ;for. I put my trust in thee .-Psalm 25:20. Learning to properly deal with disappointment is part of spiritual maturity .We all experience disappointment in our lives , but we can make a decision to get “reappointed “to let go of what didn’t work out for us and work on something new .For example , if I planned to go to lunch with a friend and she had to cancel,I can either spend the day disappointed because my plan didn’t work out ,or I can pray about what else God might want me to do and believe my steps are ordered by the Lord . Our disappointment doesn’t come as much from our circumstances as it does from our misplaced believing .Trusting God is something we can choose to do all the time , especially when things footwork our the way we planned .Proverbs 16:9says ,”A man’s mind plans his way , but the Lord directs his steps ….”If we believe that , then it is not difficult to let go of our disappointment and believe that God has something better in mind for us than what we knew to plan or ask for . Even when we are disappointed in ourselves ,we can trust God to help us learn from our mistakes and do better in . the future .Don’t let disappointment rule your emotions .God has a good plan for you even if you don’t know what it is , so trust Him and go ahead and have a good day .-Joyce Meyer
