A Nugget of Truth.
Can you enter the New Covenant while rejecting God’s Ten Commandments?

The Bible answer is no.

The New Covenant is not God removing His law. It is God writing His law in the heart.

Hebrews 8:10
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; **I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts**…”

So the New Covenant is not lawlessness. It is a changed heart.

The problem was never God’s law. The problem was man’s heart.

Romans 7:12
“Wherefore **the law is holy**, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

We are not saved by keeping the commandments. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

But true grace does not lead us to reject God’s commandments. True grace changes the heart so that we no longer fight against God’s law, but desire to walk in harmony with it.

John 14:15
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

So the question is not, “Do I keep the commandments to earn salvation?”

The real question is:

Has Jesus changed my heart so that I no longer reject His commandments, but desire to walk in harmony with them?

Because you cannot enter the New Covenant while rejecting the very law the New Covenant promises to write in the heart.
