• I’m writing this a week after Good Friday, this week we paused to remember all of Who Jesus was as we took communion together ! it was special time , but one particular aspect stood out to me . Standing right in front of me , serving communion was a woman named Chris she could have done anything she could have done anything on that Friday night , but she came to serve , and the simple act of holding out a basket of bread and offering a small cup of grape juice with the accompanying words , the Body and Bood of Christ was a sacred thing to see . I was so deeply touched by her service . I was grateful that she gave like Jesus . At the core of my faith is this simple truth ! Following Jesus means becoming like Jesus .And Jesus was a servant . His entire mission was centered on serving humanity and giving His life for others .That’s not just something He died it’s who He is . if I want to follow Him I have to embrace that same identity Serving is not optinal in the Kingdom of God -it’s essential it’s how I reflect Christ in my everyday life .The apostle John wrore :”Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did “( 1John 2:6) That verse challenges me . to design my actions with my identity every single day .If I belong to Christ , my life should reflect His character , and I should serve just as He did . Serving becomes a daily decision not just in big moments , but in small moments , but in small everyday acts of love and kindness .Think about how we change the world , if we served like Jesus Today , I commit to living like Jesu serving like Jesus will you Join me ? Let’s pray together . Jesus , I want my life to reflect yours .Teach me to serve with humility love with sincerity and live with purpose .Help me to follow Your example in every area of my life .Make me more like You each day .ij Your name .amen !Never forget my friend ,You are a miracle !-Grant Fishbook (A Miracle Everyday )

  • THE STORY BEHIND THE HYMNS.
THE STORY BEHIND "AH, HOLY JESUS, HOW HAST THOU OFFENDED"

The hymn “Ah, Holy Jesus, How Hast Thou Offended?” is one of the most moving reflections on the suffering of Christ ever written for the Christian church. Its words carry a deep sense of sorrow, humility, and personal repentance, inviting believers to reflect not only on the cruelty of those who condemned Jesus but also on humanity’s own role in His suffering.

The hymn was written in 1630 by Johann Heermann, a German Lutheran pastor and poet who lived through one of the darkest periods in European history. Heermann’s life unfolded during the Thirty Years’ War, a brutal conflict that ravaged much of Germany with violence, famine, and disease. Communities were repeatedly destroyed, churches burned, and countless lives lost. Heermann himself endured severe illness and constant hardship. At one point he was forced to flee his home because of the violence surrounding him. Yet in the midst of these struggles, he continued to write devotional poetry and hymns that expressed both the pain of human suffering and the hope found in Christ.

It was in this atmosphere of turmoil that Heermann composed the hymn, which first appeared in his devotional collection “Devoti Musica Cordis” (Music of a Devout Heart). The hymn stands out for its intensely personal tone. Rather than simply describing the events of the crucifixion, the words lead the worshipper into a moment of honest self-examination. One of the most striking lines asks, “Who was the guilty? Who brought this upon thee?” The answer follows immediately with disarming humility: “Alas, my treason, Jesus, hath undone thee.” In this way, the hymn moves beyond historical reflection and becomes a confession of faith, reminding believers that Christ suffered because of the sins of humanity.

More than two centuries later, the hymn reached English-speaking churches through the work of Robert Seymour Bridges, an English poet who would later become Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom. Bridges translated the hymn in the nineteenth century, carefully preserving the emotional depth and penitential spirit of Heermann’s original German text. His translation allowed congregations across the English-speaking world to sing and meditate on the hymn’s powerful message.

The hymn is most often sung to the German chorale melody “Herzliebster Jesu.” The tune was composed by Johann Crüger and first published in 1640. Its slow, solemn character perfectly mirrors the gravity of the words, creating a musical setting that naturally leads worshippers into reflection during the seasons of Lent and Holy Week.

Over the centuries, “Ah, Holy Jesus, How Hast Thou Offended?” has remained one of the most profound Passion hymns in Christian worship. Its enduring power lies in the way it draws the singer into the story of the cross, not as a distant observer but as someone personally involved in the drama of redemption. Through the suffering and chaos of his own time, Johann Heermann produced a hymn that continues to guide generations of believers into a deeper understanding of Christ’s sacrifice and the grace that flows from it.

  • 3 UNDENIABLE QUALITIES OF GOD'S TRUE CHURCH.

    1. It has all truth.

In John 6: from verse 66 Jesus admits some statement from verse 51 to 58 that troubled the Jewish listeners, He said eat my flesh and drink my blood and they could not understand what he said, clearly Jesus was speaking symbolically referring to the word as explained in verse 63, And because they thought He said eat my flesh and drink my blood the Bible says in verse 66-69

JOHN 6: 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? THOU HAST THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

In other words Peter said the reason why we are staying with you is not because you have large church building or you have important members in the congregation or you drive Fancy cars or the choir is excellent, he said the reason we are staying is because you are preaching the truth" Thou has the word of Eternal life".

When Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Tim 3:14-15
14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the TRUTH.

Paul said the church of God will be the pillar and ground of TRUTH John 17:17. The true church must preach what the Bible says from Genesis to Revelation, so if the church teaches to keep Sunday as the Sabbath it cannot be the church of God because Sunday is not the Sabbath, when the church teaches you can pray to idols it cannot be the church of God the 2nd commandment forbids it.

    2. Look for church that is all over the world.

    Jesu said in Mathew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and TEACH All NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The true church of God must be from among all nations, you cannot call a church that is only found in Sweden the church of God it must be found all over the globe. Look for a church that is worldwide.

    3. It must have the gift of prophecy.

The church of God must have the gift of prophecy manifested in it, someone in the church to whom GOD has spoken directly to provide special and unique insight to a particular body of believers. Amos 3:7, Prov 29:18, Rev 12:17, Rev 19:10, 2 chron 20:20.

My brothers and sisters Jesus has a church, He told Peter Upon this rock I will build my church not my Churches ( Mat 16:18) but my church, If you are looking for the true church look for the church that preaches only that which is Biblical, look for the church that is all over the world, look for the church that has the prophetic gift in these latter times of world history.

Don't look for church where all members are holy and righteous you won't find that because Jesus said have i not chosen you twelve one of you is a devil (John 6:70) so in the earliest true church there was a devil among the members so it's not the holy living of people that determines whether it's a true church, again it's what the church preaches, it's worldwide service and the presence of the prophetic gift in that church and that church is none other than the SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH it has all truth may God bless and reward your search for His true church near you!!!

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Hiob 42:4-7 "So höre nun, laß mich reden; ich will dich fragen, lehre mich!"
