BUILDING A GODLY FAMILY.

*THE MESSAGE:*
The command in our text leaves no space for conditions. God desires that the man should leave his parents and cleave to his wife. This is what builds oneness. To build a godly family, both husband and wife must shift their grounds and pitch their tents on biblical principles. The husband must always be willing to show grace to his wife by accommodating her into his life and helping her to grow. Couples must not listen to or entertain any negative talk about themselves from anyone. They must cherish faithfulness and eschew the sin of adultery, homosexuality, bigamy, polygamy, and so on. They must do well to avoid anything that hinders their bonding and spiritual and moral growth. How is your family life? Evaluate!

ED.ii. 'I WILL GIVE YOU REST'

"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28

What a wonderful promise Jesus has given us here: 'I will give you rest.' As He has promised this, we are allowed to remind Him of His promise: 'Lord, You have promised this and I want to receive it.'

Come to Jesus

There is one condition to this promise. Jesus says: 'Come to Me. I will give you rest.' So, if you want to have peace and rest in your life, you have to come first to Jesus and then He will do what He said.

When your body is tired, you have to take a rest. When Jesus says: 'I will give you rest' this means rest for the soul. The heart of man is always restless and looking for love or affection, peace and tranquility. Some of you are in pain and sorrow because of circumstances in your life. Perhaps due to the loss of a partner. Jesus says: 'Come to Me today, for I will give you peace in that broken heart.' He wants to fill your life with His love. He will always be with you. He will never be unfaithful to you. You can count on Him. He is your best friend.

Every person has a conscience and sin causes restlessness in the heart. Fear comes in the heart just as with Adam and Eve. After they had sinned, they wanted to hide from God. You do not feel good when your conscience speaks. The soul is being tormented. The psalmist says: 'For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me' (Psalm 51:3). The sin continued to haunt him.

Dear reader, do you also have your sins as a bag of stones on your back? If that is the case, then Jesus says: 'Come to Me. I will give you rest.'

Heavenly Father, whose favor is life, whose lovingkindness is better than life, we thank You for all the blessings You have shown to us. Through another day, You have led us. Goodness and mercy have followed us all the way. We enter now into the quiet and rest of the evening, and Your banner over us is love. We hide in the shadow of Your wings.

We remember before You this evening all the interests of our home. We thank You for all that home means to us of love and shelter. Bless us in our family life, making it more and more like the heavenly life. Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. A thousand years in Your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

We are but creatures of a moment, dying and passing away. We are like the grass which in the morning flourishes and grows up, and in the evening is cut down and withers. We spend our years as a tale that is told. You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Faithful Lord,
As this week concludes, we thank You for Your constant love, mercy, and faithfulness.

1. LAW IS MIRROR OF SIN — SPIRITUAL LENS

Rom 3:20 — By the law is the knowledge of sin
James 1:23-24 — He is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass
1 John 3:4 — Sin is the transgression of the law

Spiritual lens — Law of Moses is not ladder to climb — It is mirror to show dirt — Whoever sins has broken law — James 2:10 Whosoever shall keep whole law, yet offend in one, guilty of all — Mirror says — You are dirty — Need washing — Cannot wash self with mirror — Need blood.

That is why unsaved, shepherd, church — Born again or not — If you keep sinning — Mirror shows broken — Unsealed — Gal 5:19-21 Flesh desires.

2. LOVE IS THE COMMANDMENT THAT FULFILLS ENTIRE LAW — SPIRITUAL LENS

Rom 13:8 — He that loveth another hath fulfilled the law
Rom 13:10 — Love is the fulfilling of the law
John 13:34 — A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another
Matt 22:40 — On these two commandments hang all the law

Spiritual lens — 10 Commandments hang on love — Vertical love to God — First 4 — Horizontal love to man — Last 6 — Keep love — You kept all — Fail love — You broke all — 1 John 4:8 God is love — So keeping love = keeping God.

How is love proved? Not feeling — ACT.

3. PREACHING TRUE GOSPEL IS HIGHEST ACT OF LOVE — TESTAMENT OF PURITY

Rom 10:15 — How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! — Isa 52:7
2 Pet 2:5 — Noah...a preacher of righteousness — Called righteous before God — Gen 6:9
Mark 16:15 — Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature

Spiritual lens — Why beautiful feet? Because preaching salvation = pulling man from hell — That IS true love — Greater than feeding body — You feed soul — James 5:20 He which converteth sinner from error shall save soul from death.

Look:

Noah — Preacher of righteousness — Called righteous — Not because he built ark only — Because he preached righteousness to others — That act of love made him fulfill law — Declared righteous — Same as Abraham — Gen 15:6.

Dead in Christ — Loved this godly act — Preaching God's word to others & holding fast testimony of Jesus — Rev 12:11 Overcame by blood and word of their testimony — Rev 19:10 Testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy — Their mouth pure — Rev 14:5 No guile — That witness set others free — John 8:32 — Love in action.

Last age church — This is crucial — Preaching RIGHTEOUSNESS not false doctrine — False doctrine = hate — You leave man in sin — 1 Tim 4:1-2 — True doctrine = love — You call to repent, be born again, stop sinning — Titus 2:11-12 Grace teaches deny ungodliness.

Deut 30:19 — I have set before you life and death...therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live
Josh 24:15 — Choose you this day whom ye will serve

Shepherds, church, unsaved — Grace is on table — Faith to be saved is given — But command remains — Get born again TODAY — And GO preach righteousness — Not false — That act proves love — Fulfills entire law — Makes you pure & blameless — Seals you among 144k — Phil 1:6 PERFORMED — Rev 3:5 Name stays in Book of Life — John 10:28 No plucking — Waiting to be taken.

Or choose disobedience — Flesh desire — Sin — Break law — Mirror shows guilty — Unsealed — Removed from Book — Perish.

Say now:

I am born again by faith — Rom 1:17 — I am pure & blameless NOW — Rev 14:4-5 — Unto pure all things pure — Titus 1:15 — My feet beautiful — Rom 10:15 — Because I preach righteousness in true gospel — That is love to others — Rom 13:10 Fulfills law — I keep commandments & faith of Jesus — Rev 14:12 — I am sealed in 144k — On Mt Zion — White garment — Rev 3:5 — My name not blotted — John 10:28 No snatching — Waiting till He takes me — 1 Thess 4:17 — Amen.

Choose life — Live — Preach — Stay pure till Day.

“When You Forgive Others, You Reflect the Heart of Jesus.”

Forgiving is not always easy. When someone hurts us, our natural response may be to hold on to the pain, repeatedly think about what happened, or even desire revenge. But Jesus calls us to choose forgiveness.

Jesus Himself is the greatest example of forgiveness. When He was crucified, even in the midst of those who mocked and persecuted Him, He prayed:

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
— Luke 23:34

How powerfully this reveals the heart of Jesus! Even in the midst of unbearable pain, He chose forgiveness.

We see this same quality in the life of Stephen. Even when people stoned him to death, Stephen did not ask for judgment against them. Instead, he fell on his knees and cried out:

“Lord, do not hold this sin against them.”
— Acts 7:60

Because Stephen chose forgiveness instead of bitterness, he reflected the image of Jesus.

Forgiving someone does not mean denying the wrong they have done. It means refusing to allow their wrongdoing to control our hearts. When we forgive, we place the offense into God’s hands and choose to walk in the love of Christ.

Jesus said:

“Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
— Luke 6:37

Today, ask God to help you forgive someone who has hurt you. Let go of the bitterness in your heart. Surrender the offense to God. Let the love of Jesus shine through your life.

A forgiving heart is a heart that reflects the image of Jesus.

WHATSOEVER YOU SOW, YOU WILL REAP

The Word of God says in Job 4:8,
Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

And Galatians 6:7
says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.
Beloved, whatever you plant, you will surely reap

If you are planting love, kindness, righteousness, and peace, you will reap the fruit of those things.

But if you are planting evil, wickedness, hatred, lies, deception, or destruction against another person, remember that God sees everything.

If you have planned evil against your brother, sister, neighbor, relative, or anyone around you
repent today and turn away from it.
Do not wait until it is too late

Run to Christ while there is still time
Ask God for forgiveness and make your heart right with Him.

There is no repentance in the grave.
The opportunity we have today may not be available tomorrow.

Do not be deceived by what you see happening around you.
Sometimes people may applaud lies, celebrate wickedness, or encourage those who do evil.

But God's judgment is not based on the applause of people.

What you sow is what you will reap.
Choose righteousness. Choose truth. Choose love. Choose Christ.
May the Lord give us the grace to examine our hearts,
repent from every evil way, and walk in righteousness.

When I come to understand God’s forgiveness in my life, it fills my heart with great joy because I realize that I am forgiven. God’s forgiveness means that I have been restored to a right relationship with Him. This is the power of the Gospel: through Jesus Christ, God forgives our sins, restores our relationship with Him, and gives us the grace to forgive others.

As we continue meditating on the Sermon on the Mount, we have already considered the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness can become a powerful solution to many broken relationships. Families, communities, and even nations can experience restoration and reconciliation when people choose to forgive one another. Today, we will look more deeply at what Jesus taught about the Kingdom principle of receiving and giving forgiveness and how this divine truth should be applied practically in our lives.

Jesus said:

“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”
— Matthew 6:14–15

The first powerful principle Jesus teaches is that forgiveness must be practiced in our relationships with others. He clearly says that if we forgive others, our Heavenly Father will also forgive us. This is a profound and transformational truth of the Kingdom of God. Forgiveness has the power to bring healing where there has been pain, reconciliation where there has been division, and peace and harmony where relationships have been broken.

Jesus also gives the warning from the opposite perspective: if we refuse to forgive others, we should seriously examine our own hearts and our understanding of God’s forgiveness. These words from our Lord and Savior, the King of the universe, are powerful enough to make us stop and consider how God wants us to live.

When we recognize how much forgiveness, mercy, and love we have received from God, it becomes easier to extend that same grace to others, regardless of what they have done against us. Our willingness to forgive becomes a practical expression of the Gospel we have received.

The person who understands how greatly they have been forgiven will increasingly learn to love God and forgive others. Our love for God and our willingness to love and forgive people demonstrate that we are truly walking as disciples of Jesus and as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father.

May we continually receive God’s forgiveness and freely extend forgiveness to others.
