Pray for Someone Who Doesn't Know Jesus (1 Timothy 2:1, 3–4)
Have you ever thought about the people around you who don't know Jesus?
Your friends.
Your classmates.
Your colleagues.
Your neighbours.
Your family members.
Maybe you've shared the Gospel with them.
Maybe you've invited them to church.
Maybe they aren't interested in hearing about faith right now.
Don't give up on them.
Pray for them.
God's Word encourages us to pray for all people because God “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Prayer is an important part of evangelism.
Before you speak to people about Jesus, speak to God about them.
Pray that God will soften their hearts.
Pray that He will open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel.
Pray that God will place believers in their lives who will demonstrate the love of Christ.
Pray for opportunities to share your faith.
Pray for wisdom to know what to say.
Pray for courage to speak when the opportunity comes.
And pray that the Holy Spirit will work in ways you cannot see.
You cannot force someone to follow Jesus.
You cannot argue someone into the Kingdom of God.
Salvation is God's work.
Your responsibility is to love people.
Serve them.
Share the Gospel.
Pray for them.
And trust God with the results.
Don't stop praying because you don't see immediate change.
Some prayers are answered quickly.
Others require patience and persistence.
The friend who rejects your invitation today may ask you about Jesus tomorrow.
The family member who doesn't want to hear about your faith today may one day remember the way you consistently loved and prayed for them.
Never underestimate what God can do through faithful prayer.
Today, choose one person who doesn't know Jesus.
Write down their name.
Pray for them every day.
Ask God to give you opportunities to demonstrate His love and share the Good News with them.
One prayer can begin a journey.
One conversation can plant a seed.
One life surrendered to Jesus can impact generations.
Who will you commit to praying for today?
