  • Behold, I am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.

Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus alone.

Matthew 28:20 ᴊɴᴅ; Matthew 17:8 ᴊɴᴅ

Jesus was about to ascend to heaven, but all His thoughts were on the pilgrim Church which He was about to leave behind. He seems to be saying, I am going to the presence of My Father in heaven, but, nevertheless, I am with you always! John, the apostle who had leaned on His bosom, spoke with emphasis about the Lord who was absent, “Our fellowship is indeed with … Jesus Christ” (1 Jn. 1:3).

Amid so much that is fleeting in this world, how reassuring it is to know that the Savior is always with us, to know that, if I am indeed a child of God, there is not a single instant when I am without the guardianship of the Lord Jesus! His is no fitful companionship—present in prosperity, gone in adversity. He is with us in sickness and solitude, in joy and in adversity, in life and in death.

Are you troubled and tempted? Do dark providences and severe afflictions seem to belie the truth of the reality of His gracious assurances? Be assured that He has some faithful end in view. By the removal of prized and cherished props and refuges, He would unfold more and more of His own tenderness. Amid the wreck and ruin of earthly joys, which, it may be, the grave has hidden from your sight, One nearer, dearer, tenderer still would have you say of Himself, “The Lᴏʀᴅ liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted” (Ps. 18:46 ᴋᴊᴠ). The believer of today can exclaim, “Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Christ” (2 Cor. 2:14). This is especially true when we are stripped of all competing objects of creature attention and left with “Jesus alone.”

  • Conflict and Courage.
    2 Kings 2:1-15

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52.
In the desert, in loneliness and discouragement, Elijah had said that he had had enough of life and had prayed that he might die. But the Lord in His mercy had not taken him at his word. There was yet a great work for Elijah to do; and when his work was done, he was not to perish in discouragement and solitude. Not for him the descent into the tomb, but the ascent with God's angels to the presence of His glory.

“And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; and he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The Spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.”

When the Lord in His providence sees fit to remove from His work those to whom He has given wisdom, He helps and strengthens their successors, if they will look to Him for aid and will walk in His ways. They may be even wiser than their predecessors; for they may profit by their experience and learn wisdom from their mistakes.6Ibid., 228.

Elijah, the man of power, had been God's instrument for the overthrow of gigantic evils.... As successor to Elijah was needed one who by careful, patient instruction could guide Israel in safe paths. For this work Elisha's early training under God's direction had prepared him....

Every act of life is a revelation of character, and he only who in small duties proves himself “a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,” will be honored by God with weightier trusts.7Education, 60, 61.

  • A WORD FOR YOU.
    (Insights For Life)

And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. Genesis 32:24 KJV

JACOB WAS LEFT ALONE - part 3.
Today, we focus on Jesus Christ. One of the most important and powerful activities in Jesus's ministry is his constant withdrawal from everything to be alone. This scripture confirms it:
But Jesus "OFTEN" withdrew to lonely "PLACES" and prayed. Luke 5:16 NIV. Mark the word "often" - "always".

And in the morning, ...he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35 KJV

Jesus modeled solitude as a core part of his life and ministry. It was a regular habit. It was a constant everytime routine. Jesus had just 12 disciples, yet at certain times, they were a crowd to him so he takes just 3 of them and at other times, he withdraws alone to a quiet place. Jesus had unlimited access to strength, Grace and power, yet he wouldn't spend it all with the people - HE KEPT A TIME FOR HIMSELF - ALONE, OFTEN.

Greatness is birthed in secret. Success is shaped in the secret. Growth first happen in darkness before it manifest to light. Those who play and win are not those in the crowd, they are those whose circle are few - the eleven. The crowd pay the bills, the few win the crown. The lion is the king of the jungle but the tortoise outlive him. You know why? Because the tortoise have learnt to always withdraw into his shell. Do you want to fulfill destiny? Then avoid the crowd. Create a withdrawal system. Appear for a while but learn to withdraw and be alone. Learn to retreat. Practice isolation. Put off everything, keep off noise, sound, pictures and videos so you can be alone. Listen, ALL DARKNESS IS NOT NEGATIVE, SOMETIMES, IT IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF GREATNESS. Jacob was left alone, Jesus withdrew himself - both were deliberate and intentional. Don't wait until life calls you apart. Withdraw so you can draw. There are certain friends, companies, association you must deliberately withdraw from for you to see the next phase of your life. It is time to stand aside and withdraw your self. Be blessed, Stay refreshed!

  • One of the greatest lessons I have learned is the value of solitude.

There are seasons when stepping away from the noise and spending time alone can give you the clarity you need to reflect on life, understand your direction, and discern who and what truly deserves a place in your journey.

Not everyone needs to be in your inner circle. Not every relationship requires the same level of access. Sometimes, you need to step back and sift through the influences around you—keeping what adds value and letting go of what distracts you from the path God is leading you on.

Solitude is not always loneliness. Sometimes, it is where you gain clarity, grow in wisdom, and learn discernment.

You don't always need more people around you. Sometimes, you need more clarity within you.

And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. Genesis 32:24 KJV

JACOB WAS LEFT ALONE - part 2.
Let me share a particular story about BILL GATES.
Bill Gates, the Founder of Microsoft (stepped down as CEO in 2000), has and practice what is called "Think Weeks" program. It is a legendary "twice-yearly ritual", where he "ISOLATES" himself in a remote cabin to DISCONNECT for seven days. He retreats to a secluded, two-story clapboard cabin in a cedar forest in the Pacific Northwest, with a view of the Olympic Mountains—an intentionally DISTRACTION-FREE ENVIRONMENT. During this "Think Weeks", he receives/accepts No visitors, no phone, no internet, and no TV. The only human contact is a caretaker who drops off two simple meals a day.
    - He spends up to 18 hours a day reading and annotating technical papers and employee memos . His record is 112 papers in a single week! He takes his Meals at the kitchen table while still reading.
    - These "weeks" led to major pivots for Microsoft, including the Internet Explorer strategy in 1995 and concepts that became the Tablet PC and online gaming. He noted that this intense, distraction-free focus was crucial to his success. This practice was a key strategic tool during his time at Microsoft.

Every great man has a secret - an open secret. One of their secret is the ability to isolate, seclude, withdraw themselves into solitude. Have you noticed that great people have few circle of friends. The Eagle spends 150days in isolation, Bill Gates spends 7days twice a year. DESTINY IS WAITING FOR YOU, NOT IN THE OPEN PLACE - BUT IN THE SECRET PLACE. Destinies are birthed in wilderness and in the solitary place. The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them... Isaiah 35:1 KJV. Be blessed, Stay refreshed!

And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. Genesis 32:24 KJV

    JACOB WAS LEFT ALONE!
The Eagle, known as the king of the sky have have learnt and practiced the power of Seclusion. At about 40 years old, its body begins to fail. Its talons grow long and flexible, unable to grip prey. Its beak becomes bent and heavy, pressing against its chest. Its old, thick feathers become too heavy for flight, making it hard to soar.
To survive, the Eagle enters a period of seclusion. She shut off or keep apart from company, society, etc.; withdraws from everything into solitude for 150 days (about five months). After this period, it enjoys renewal, growth and transformation and then lives another 30–40 years.

Sometimes you must withdraw from noise, people, things and all forms of distractions before you can have an encounter with destiny. GROWTH REQUIRES ISOLATION. TRANSFORMATION IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT SECLUSION.

Jacob had an encounter with God when he was left alone. The world we live in is a noisy place. Many things like the phone in your hand, which was designed to enhance our lives, has become a distraction. There are Churches that holds services or activities everyday of the week - instead of improving you, they distract you. UNTIL YOU CREATE ROOM FOR YOUR SELF ALONE - IN SECLUSION, ISOLATION AND SOLITUDE, YOU ARE NOT READY FOR GROWTH AND TRANSFORMATION. Get out of the crowd, distraction and a little out of sight and experience an encounter with destiny. Be blessed, Stay refreshed!

  • Heavenly Father / Creator,
As the sun rises on this sacred Saturday, I pause to breathe in your peace and exhale the heavy burdens of the week behind me. Thank you for the gift of this day—a day designated for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation.
Bless my mind: Quiet the anxious thoughts and the endless "to-do" lists. Fill my thoughts with gratitude for the simple gifts of life.
Bless my body: Grant it deep restoration, strength, and comfort. Let this day be a time of physical renewal.
Bless my home: Let it be a haven of warmth, laughter, and love, welcoming to all who enter.
Guide my steps today. Whether I am spending time with loved ones, enjoying the beauty of nature, or simply sitting in quiet solitude, let me feel your gentle presence. Disconnect me from the noise of the world and reconnect me to what truly matters.
May this Saturday be filled with unexpected joy, holy rest, and a deep sense of contentment. Prepare my heart for the coming week, but help me to stay fully present in the beauty of today.
    Amen.

  • Silence July 10,2026 Come unto me all ye that labour and ars heavy laden , and I will give you rest .Take my yoke upon you and learn of me :for I am meek and lowly in heart :and ye shall find rest unto your souls For my yoke is easy and my burden is light -Matthew 11:28-30. Our souls need rest .We need internal rest .Rest from planning , thinking , reasoning , worrying , and all other internal activity .We need solitude and silence and inactivity , but we rarely get enough of it . I must admit that I am not good at doing nothing . I find myself planning what I want to eat , or what I will do with the rest of my week ,or how I can entertain myself . Sometimes God has to make us lie fowl by still and restful waters (see Psakm 23:2)I have been recovering from a hip replacement surgery , and between not being able to move much and being on pain medicine that dulled my mind as wel as my body , I found myself spending large amounts of time sitting and simply looking out the window .This was a novelty for me , but one I actually enjoyed because I got internal rest that I needed . Try to have some time of complete solitude each week .Sit somewhere beautiful and peaceful and just “be e .” Believe it or not , we don’t always have to “ do “ something . Actually , if we take regular time to “be ,” our “doing “will be more productive -Joyce Meyer
