My assignment is humanity, the Lord, Yahweh is my reward.

I am not a denominational Christian. I see Christians as a family regardless the denomination. My belief is based on the Bible and not denominational doctrine. I love to learn and to teach. I believe I have this built-in ability to teach.

I'm glad to be here, to meet Christians from around the world. I'd love to hear how you are keeping up the faith.

  • Hello! I'm Dennis.
If you're reading this, I'd be glad to hear from you.

I've had so many people tell me I've a calling to be a pastor. A friend told me they dreamt three times I saved him from trouble. While he was telling me the same dream he dreamt three times, I didn't allow him drop because it occurred to me it's ending with "Bro, you're called to be a pastor." A woman told me my father was meant to be a pastor but he refused, and that calling is still in the family. My family had told me, too.

However, I never felt or seen a sign that I'm called to be a pastor. I've prayed but never have I received any sign. I never want to take people's words for a calling from God simply because of my natural calmness and innocent looks or even because I explain the word of God simply and easier. I often tell people who see me innocent, in the words of Paul, "My conscience is clear, but that doesn't make me innocent."

I really wish to know more about calling. Truth is I don't want to be a pastor, but, also, I don't want to refuse a calling from God.

    I have this confession:
While in the University, I did something. I made a covenant with God. I prayed that if he wants me to be a pastor as people say, I should graduate with a first hons. However, because I don't want to be, I didn't study for a first class so I won't have to be a pastor and then say God didn't want me to. I just graduated, though result isn't out yet, I know it's not a first class because I ensure it.

I just graduated from the University and i gave it a second thought, but I've used lack of finance as a pretext.

Please, I'd like to hear from you friends.
