About 3 years ago I published my first book, Haighs Flat. Like for many writers, we get a "rude" shock when we realise how hard it is to get our books known and sold. Unless you are a known author bookshops don't want to know you - it is a hard reality.
Anyway, recently I was on a holiday with my elderly parents when I received an email saying that this book was the 2026 winner for exceptional contribution in Christian Fiction. I was not expecting this, even though I know it is an outstanding book with an even more outstanding storyline.
