“We Don’t Live by Sight, But by Faith”— Inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:7

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

In a world full of uncertainties, it’s tempting to rely only on what we see, control, or understand. But faith invites us into something deeper — a trust beyond evidence, a hope beyond fear, and a light that often comes before the dawn.

This poem is a personal reflection on why we need faith — not only in a religious sense, but as a daily anchor, an emotional compass, and a source of quiet power. Faith costs nothing, yet gives everything. May these words speak to that truth.

    What Faith Creates

What is this thing they call belief,

    A quiet light, a soul’s relief?

It doesn’t shout, it doesn’t shove,

  • Love is God’s Will, Not Just Our Own

Love Is a Gift from God

    Romans 9

"I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit."

Love is not something to be taken lightly—it is a gift from God. The love that comes from human desires is not true love, for it is guided by flesh. True love is a divine gift, given through God’s will and grace.

Love does not originate from personal will; it comes from heaven. Human love often carries conditions—wealth, health, status, or fame—but the love of God is unconditional. It is led by Heaven, free from worldly attachments.

    As Romans 9:16 reminds us:

"So then, it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy."

    Love: The Greatest Spiritual Gift

    Proverbs 9:16

Love is a divine gift, an act of God’s mercy. We should not shape it according to our own desires. Everything in life becomes more meaningful when it is covered by love, the spiritual gift given by God.

1 Corinthians 13:1-10 teaches us that love is eternal. Other gifts may fade away, but love remains forever because it is the foundation of all gifts from God. That is why love is the greatest commandment—it surpasses all others.

Let us hold on to love, if it is truly given by God.

    Living as Children of God

    1 John 3

"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God…"

When we are born again in Christ, we become children of God. Just as we honor our earthly parents, we must also honor our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things. Everything we have—what we see, think, and do—belongs to Him.

Because God is love, we, as His children, should live in love. As 1 John 4:7 says:

"Let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."

Love is God's will. From the beginning, we have been called to love one another. True love is not about our own will; it is about respecting and following the will of God.

    Love in Action

Jesus Christ showed us the greatest example of love by laying down His life for us. In return, we are called to love one another, not just in words, but through action.

    1 John 3:16-17

"By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother or sister in need, and shuts up his heart from them—how does the love of God abide in them?"

Love is more than just words; it must be demonstrated. If we have material wealth but ignore those in need, we are not living in the love of God. ... Read more https://iammessage.substack.com/p/love-is-gods-will-not-just-our-own
