Enoch Burke is a Christian teacher in Ireland who stood firm on Genesis 1:27: God created male and female. When asked to call a biologically male student “they/them,” he refused, saying he could not lie or deny biblical truth.

The school fired him. The court ordered him to stay off school grounds. Enoch keeps returning, insisting the firing is unlawful and that God, not the state, is his highest authority.

For defying that court order, he is now in prison with no release date. This is civil contempt: he holds the key to his cell door. The moment he agrees to stay away, he walks free. He refuses on principle.

Over 450 days behind bars, no violence, no crime, simply a man who will not bow on gender ideology or abandon what he believes Scripture demands.
