There are things God instructed to be absolutely Silence about after acting on it , while some we are to be loud about after receiving it.
In either way its a spiritual Obligation .
When you do alms giving be silent about it, but if you receive a Miracle be loud about it.

It requires wisdom to understand why GOD said so.
Remember he is a jealous God and he wouldn't want to share his glory with anyone .
When you do any good thing to God (your benevolences and prayers for people)you're not required to take the praises that comes with it from men.because it is God in you that made you to do it. By the time you feel that glory or pride you are committing the sin of impersonation which gives rise to Blasphemy, because that isn't supposed to go to you, it God's Glory.

We are required not to arrogate praises to ourselves if we are doing God's Commandments . Read the account of Herod and Nebuchadnezzar and what the Angel told John in Revelation when he tried to bow to him

But the moment you receive a miracle, a blessing be loud about it, you can take the account of the ten lepers and the man blind from Birth for reference, they where instructed to give testimony. You aren't permitted to be silent about Miracles you receive from God

This write up isn't politically motivated, because in politics Opposite is the case, because while opponents are downplaying your efforts you are showing casing what you have done to gain support in the next election.

Abstaining from things sometimes is profitable, denying oneself from entitlements or pleasure proof your stewardship to God.
When the doctrines of self-control, long-suffering, endurance and been sober is assimilated it gives direction of purpose.
Everything God created is for our use , but when utility exceeds it purpose it becomes abuse.
When the test of abstainance can't be overcome that means it contradicts the way God wants us to look at the world

Everything we lust after is Everything God hates.
Uncontrollable habits make you offend your brother, if you can offend your brother and feel nothing is it God whom you haven't seen that you will feel guilty when you sin against him?

When God gives instructions, it is meant to keep our conscience intact, when conscience is seared it goes against society as well

The things we are crazy about, in the name of acquisition will never satisfy.
