The concept of prostitution is often narrowed down by societal stereotypes, but when we look at the core of the behavior, it reveals a much broader and more complex reality. It isn’t just a "profession" in the traditional sense; it is a dynamic involving the exchange of the most intimate part of the human experience for external rewards.
​Defining the Scope
​At its simplest level, a prostitute is an individual—regardless of gender—who engages in sexual acts with people they are not married to, driven by specific motivations. While the world often paints a picture of a woman on a street corner, the reality is far more diverse. It includes men, women, and non-binary individuals operating in high-end hotels, through digital apps, or within private arrangements.

​The "why" behind these encounters generally falls into two primary categories:
​1. Financial Gain
​This is the most recognized form. In this context, the body becomes a commodity. The transaction is clear: sexual intimacy is traded for money, gifts, housing, or career advancement. For many, it is a survival tactic; for others, it is a lucrative business choice.
​2. Sexual Pleasure and Satisfaction
​This is the often-overlooked side of the definition. Prostitution isn't always about the "seller" needing money; sometimes it’s about a mutual, yet transactional, pursuit of pleasure outside the bonds of commitment. When individuals seek out sexual encounters purely for the physical "high" or to satisfy specific urges with various partners who are not their spouses, they are engaging in a form of sexual commercialization, even if no cash changes hands.
​Breaking the Gender Myth
​One of the most important things to understand is that prostitution is not gender-specific. * Male Prostitution: Often hidden due to social stigma, men provide sexual services to both women and other men. This can range from "escort" services to "gigolo" roles where companionship and sex are exchanged for a lifestyle funded by a wealthy partner.
​Female Prostitution: The most visible form, yet it varies wildly from street-level work to elite "call girl" operations.
​The Shared Reality: Regardless of gender, the core action remains the same—the use of sex as a tool or a currency rather than an expression of marital or emotional intimacy.
​The Moral and Social Layer
​The definition also hinges on the absence of a marital bond. In many cultural and traditional views, the distinction is clear: sex is intended for the sanctuary of marriage. When that boundary is crossed for the sake of "profit" (whether that profit is a stack of bills or a moment of fleeting physical satisfaction), the act moves into the realm of prostitution.

which means that there're people that God will intentionally show mercy not everyone, the mercy of God come to a man by the choice of God.
