  • PROVERB OF THE DAY

    (Proverbs 27)

    1. Do not boast about tomorrow,
    For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

    2. Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth;
    A stranger, and not your own lips.

    3. A stone is heavy and sand is weighty,
    But a fool’s wrath is heavier than both of them.

    4. Wrath is cruel and anger a torrent,
    But who is able to stand before jealousy?

    5. Open rebuke is better
    Than love carefully concealed.

    6. Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
    But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

    7. A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb,
    But to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

    8. Like a bird that wanders from its nest
    Is a man who wanders from his place.

    9. Ointment and perfume delight the heart,
    And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.

    10. Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend,
    Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity;
    Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.

    11. My son, be wise, and make my heart glad,
    That I may answer him who reproaches me.

    12A prudent man
    foresees evil and hides himself;.
    The simple pass on and are punished.

    13. Take the garment of him who is surety for a stranger,
    And hold it in pledge when he is surety for a seductress.

    14. He who blesses his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning,
    It will be counted a curse to him.

    15. A continual dripping on a very rainy day
    And a contentious woman are alike;

    16. Whoever restrains her restrains the wind,
    And grasps oil with his right hand.

    17. As iron sharpens iron,
    So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

    18. Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit;
    So he who waits on his master will be honored.

    19. As in water face reflects face,
    So a man’s heart reveals the man.

    20. Hell and Destruction are never full;
    So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

    21. The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
    And a man is valued by what others say of him.

    22. Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain,
    Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.

    23. Be diligent to know the state of your flocks,
    And attend to your herds;

    24. For riches are not forever,
    Nor does a crown endure to all generations.

    25. When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself,
    And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,

    26. The lambs will provide your clothing,
    And the goats the price of a field;

    27. You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food,
    For the food of your household,
    And the nourishment of your maidservants.

  • Acts 2:38 follows the powerful conviction that came upon the crowd after Peter's sermon on the Day of Pentecost. Having heard the truth about Jesus Christ, the people were deeply moved and asked, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Peter's response was clear and direct. They were to repent, turn to Christ, and publicly identify with Him through baptism.
    Repentance is more than feeling sorry for sin. It involves a change of heart that leads to a change of direction. The people were called to turn away from their old ways and place their faith in Jesus Christ. God was inviting them into a restored relationship with Himself through the forgiveness made possible by Christ's death and resurrection.
    Peter's message also emphasized the wonderful promise of God's grace. Those who responded in faith would experience the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. What a remarkable truth! God does not merely forgive sin; He also gives His presence to dwell within believers, empowering them to live a new life.
    This verse reminds us that the gospel always calls for a response. God lovingly invites people to turn to Him, receive His forgiveness, and walk in obedience. For believers, repentance is not a one-time event but an ongoing attitude of humility and surrender. As we continually turn our hearts toward God, we experience the joy of His cleansing, guidance, and fellowship.
    No matter what mistakes lie in our past, God's grace is greater. Through Jesus Christ, forgiveness is available, new life is possible, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to walk faithfully with Him.
    Reflection Questions
    1. Are there areas of my life where I need to repent and turn back to God?
    2. How has God's forgiveness changed the direction of my life?
    3. Am I living daily in dependence upon the Holy Spirit's guidance and power?
    Prayer
    Heavenly Father, thank You for the forgiveness available through Jesus Christ. Search my heart and reveal anything that keeps me from walking closely with You. Help me to live with a repentant and obedient spirit. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who strengthens and guides me each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
    Practical Application
    Spend time in prayer asking God to reveal any areas that need repentance.
    Thank God specifically for the forgiveness and grace He has given you through Christ.
    Rely on the Holy Spirit throughout the day by seeking His guidance in your decisions and actions.
    Takeaway Thought
    God's invitation to repentance leads to forgiveness, renewal, and a life empowered by His Spirit.

    Mark 16:9–20 records the appearances of the risen Jesus after His resurrection, the response of the disciples, the Great Commission, and the ascension of Christ into heaven. These verses show that Jesus truly rose from the dead and continued revealing Himself to His followers before returning to the Father.
    Throughout this section, Jesus corrects unbelief, commissions His disciples to preach the gospel to the whole world, promises His presence and power, and then ascends into heaven where He reigns at the right hand of God.
    For Christians, this passage teaches the certainty of the resurrection, the responsibility of sharing the gospel, and the ongoing authority and power of Jesus Christ.

  • Happy Sunday and third Trinity day also .

    May we share this small words of encouragement here

    It was what happened to John the last apostle of Jesus Christ;

    The Roman Empire tried everything to stop John. Emperor Domitian threw him into boiling oil at the Latin Gate, but John walked out unharmed. So Rome exiled him to Patmos, a lonely prison island, thinking that would silence him.

    But God had other plans.

    On that barren island, cut off from everyone, John received the vision of Revelation. What Rome meant for punishment, God turned into purpose. What was meant to shut him up became the book that still speaks to the whole Church today.

    I want to encourage you my fellow christians when the world tries to isolate you, cancel you, or shut you down, remember John. God does His loudest work in our quietest places. Your “Patmos” isn’t the end of your story, it might be where God gives you His clearest revelation.

    I, John… was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” Revelation 1:9

  • You are a unique creation of Almighty God, designed with purpose and love, which is a profound truth that reflects the essence of your existence. The Scripture reassures us in Isaiah 43:4, "Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life."
    It is essential to understand that God’s love for you is unconditional and unwavering, as demonstrated in Psalm 139:13-14, which states, "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." This not only affirms your worth but also reminds you that you were intentionally formed by the Creator who cares deeply for you. Life may bring challenges that tempt you to distance yourself from God, but remember, in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Your journey with God leads to fulfillment and purpose, so seek Him with all your heart, for He is indeed everything you are searching for.
    May you continually feel the embrace of God’s love and find strength in His unwavering presence as you walk your path.
    Bible Scripture
    Isaiah 43:4
    "Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life."
    This verse beautifully illustrates the inherent value and worth that God places on each individual. It serves as a reminder that one is not a mere product of chance or error, but a beloved creation, cherished deeply by the Almighty. Understanding this truth can instill a profound sense of purpose and identity, reinforcing that one was intentionally crafted by God's design.

    Heavenly Father, I seek to embrace the truth that I am wonderfully made by Your hands. Help me to understand my worth in Your eyes and to draw closer to You, recognizing that I am loved and cared for. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen
