"One of the lies the devils have sold believers is the fad of "online church membership" or "e-church" as some refer to it. It is self indulgent and dangerous!

Christian character is forged in relationships within a local assembly. Doctrine, communion,mutual accoutability,pastoral care and nurture, spiritual grounding and perfection for the work of the ministry can only be achieved within the physical community and communion of the saints called the "local church" with spirit led and word ordered leadership!

If a blacksmith cannot forge steel over the television or internet, and physical parents, doctors, nurses teachers and lecturers are needed to attend to bringing in a child into this world and nurturing/training it until he can take his/her place in the society as a worker in the world system (I do not think anyone will want to have an e-parent, or e-surgery, or e-nursery for their children?)

So also, a believer needs parenting,nurturing,care, training and perfection in a regulated environment to fulfil his/her spiritual destiny.

We need to wake up to new testament patterns!

Church beware !

The church is primarily a place for bible study

Every other activity is to follow bible study ,as it defines what we pray for,sing about and serve for .

When you see a church engage its members in many activities and programs ,with bible study sandwiched in the midst, BEWARE!

It corrupts their focus and attention span of believers

Christ is ONLY known by bible study ,not prayer ,praise ,or miracles !Many had this in scriptures with much ignorance ,Israel in the forty years in the wilderness,the four gospels etc .

During a bible study engagement with some fellow 2006/2007, even though his doctrinal persuasion was debunked in our mutual study,he made a vital point I can NEVER forget

" Prayer etc can be used as a means of manipulating people into not seeing the truth of scriptures by themselves ,the more a church engages its members in any activity beyond bible study ,it cripples their ability to reason "

It shot like an arrow .
I had to examine our church work to see if we were not falling into this trap !

Too much activity ,programs upon programs ,Themes upon themes ,this Fad and that Fad,...it takes away the attention of many parishioners from the most singular focus of the church
BIBLE STUDY!

What's your church service Like ? Weekly activities?
What overwhelms your church ?
Songs? Events ?praying for people ?
Jesus taught three times the number of times he healed the sick
The apostles taught 6-8 times more the times they worked miracles !( feel free to check the stats !)

I suspect some ministers get many believers so engaged in several other things away from bible study which requires reasoning ,examination and the use of critical thinking .
This is why on almost all platforms ,believers don't understand nor detect contradictory things ,can't see well into well crafted errors, mixtures etc ,and can't patiently READ and understand well taught truths

Their attention has been effectively compromised .

So its span for study is short ,weak and lazy.

I believe things are now changing.

More will read and study and ask !

So,watch that church you attend and congregation you pastor .

If bible study is not the MAJOR and OVERWHELMING activity,it's a compromised church !
For we charismatic churches, we should wonder why the average Jehovah's Witnesses usually explain the Bible far better than the charismatic, it's a symptom of our modus

Activity means nothing without proper and accurate knowledge of the holy scriptures

The things she was careful for was really FOR the Lord,
Yet the Lord rebuked this

ONE thing is NEEDED

The STUDY OF THE SCRIPTURES.

[42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

It's the ONLY one that will stay when all other activities pale away into insignificance
