I want everyone to know that this life is incredibly and often unbearably painful, and challenging, and the harsh realities will find you in every corner of life, and in every corner of your mind. But I also want everyone to know that this life, no matter how tragic, it is a gift that is denied to so many. And while it would be so easy to lay here and tell you more about my problems, I’d rather take the air in my lungs to tell you about how good God is!

You see, when this world fades away, and my life here ends, the pain I carried so well, and so heavily, for so long, will end, too. But the beauty and hope in His promises? Those will live forever; topped with a crown of jewels. And I will stand before my Father and He will touch my face, and He will say, “Well done, my good and faithful daughter.” And I will smile not because my life in this vessel has ended, but because my eternity with Him has began.

I know that the world is so heavy. I know the choices you have to make are so hard. I know the feelings you’re having are so big, but I know without a doubt that God is real and that He hears you and loves you, even when you don’t love Him. He is the only constant in a world and universe full of changing possibilities. He is never fluctuating. He is seated on the throne and He is not moved by the weight or pendulum of the world, nor by those in it! He is calm and He is sure. He is loving and He is merciful, and it’s true; His love endures forever.

I know that many will never understand my choices made along this journey. I know that even more will never understand my pain, and I don’t expect you too. I don’t expect anything, from anyone, but God. Others will fail you, but He won’t. And don’t you dare let the world fool you into thinking He has!

…and when that day does come, the one where time here runs out- the eternity that I’ve been promised will begin, and I will be at the feet of Jesus, and pain will know me no more! And I won’t be found telling Him how hard my life was. I’ll just be thanking Him for how good He is!

‭Ephesians 6:12-18 NLT‬
[12] For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. [13] Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. [14] Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. [15] For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. [16] In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. [17] Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [18] Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

I just moved to California. My husband passed away on May 3rd. God has been so good to me. Resting in His arms is all I ever want or need to do.
