One time I was grazing my Dad's sheep as a small boy in the Kenyan rurals. It was around noon and the sun was very hot. I came across a piece of paper. I grabbed it. It was a piece torn from a small Gideon's International Bible that the organisation were giving out to school children for free. The piece changed my life for good. It contained John 8:31 onwards..... ".....If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

That was the first day I knew, that Jesus Christ is the TRUTH and it was like some darkness was removed from my eyes and I started understanding the Bible in a whole new way.
It's still one of my favourite scriptures.
