The writer of Hebrews reveals that our salvation in Christ is secured by two immutable guarantees: God’s promise and His oath (Hebrews 6:17–18). This is divine assurance of the highest order—a heavenly form of two-factor authentication, unbreakable and eternally binding.

So, if you believe that God has saved you, why would you waver in believing that He will keep you saved? To trust in His saving power, yet doubt His sustaining grace, is to forget the unchanging nature of the One who cannot lie. The God who began a good work in you is faithful to bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). Rest, therefore, in the immutability of His word and the certainty of His covenant.
