  • SIX WAYS TO SURVIVE SHAKINGS IN MINISTRY

No matter how good, nice, careful and prayerful you are, Shaking must come. Either directly to you or people around you. You can't run away from it in ministry.

    ■ INCREASE YOUR PRAYER LIFE

Prayer may not end the shaking but will give you enough strength and energy to stand the pressure.

    ■ STAY AROUND MATURED PEOPLE

It has nothing to do with age, but experience. Only those who have survived similar or same experience can help you during your shaking days. You don't need motivational quotes or speakers, you need matured people.

    ■ STAY CALM, COOL AND QUIET

Emotional expression is not needed during shaking. Silence will do more than noise. At times, it's better not to explain your side of the story, because it won't change their opinions towards you. People will believe what they want even if you explain till eternity. If you can't manage your emotions, then stay away from social media before you start posting unnecessary things online.

    ■ GO FOR VACATION

Take a few days off, go elsewhere, eat, drink and sleep. Rejuvenate your life. Refresh your energy, because you have a lot of people to prove wrong. If you don't have money to travel, look for nearby cheap hotels and stay for a few days. clear your thoughts so you can see clearly.

    ■ GIVE YOUR 100% ATTENTION, RESOURCES AND ENERGY TO YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Don't let what you are going through stop where you are going to. People want to see if what you are going through will destroy your assignment especially if you are a pastor. Prove them wrong. Sacrifice everything you have to push the work forward. It's not the time to buy designers, cars and expensive vacations just to prove that you are not failing. Use the resources, time and energy to build your ministry. As soon as you start making an impact, people will shift their attention to your ministry and not your mistakes.

    ■ WEIGH RELATIONSHIPS AROUND YOU

Those who withdraw from you because of what you are going through are not your real customers, withdraw from them too without looking back. Those who are looking for ways to identify, encourage and support you, stay glued to them. Hard times reveal real and fake people. Remember you are going through a lot already, you don't need dramatic people. Be intentional about people, be ready to let go anybody who wants to go. You have better things to be concerned about, don't let anybody distract your focus with drama.

May God give you Grace to heal, recover, rebuild, rejuvenate and refresh on time in Jesus Name.
