John 1:17 (KJV) For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Laws could not lead us to enter the promise land,, only trough Jesus Christ grace and charity shall lead to the promise land. Thats why Moses and Elijah visited Jesus in the Mountains, to encouraged him as a human, so that we all saved.
