  • THE TRAGEDY OF BIBLE ILLITERATE

Hosea 4:6 declares, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." When we are illiterate in God's Word, we lack the knowledge essential for life. We become vulnerable to deception because we cannot discern truth from error. How can we navigate life's storms without the compass of Scripture? Psalm 119:105 reminds us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Without this light, we stumble in darkness, making choices that lead to regret and pain, rather than purpose and peace.

Furthermore, Bible illiteracy cripples our ability to understand God's love and plan for us. We miss the comforting promises, the wise counsel, and the powerful truths that sustain faith. Romans 10:17 states, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." How can our faith grow, how can we truly know God, if we neglect the very source of His revelation? We remain spiritual infants, unable to partake in the rich spiritual feast God has prepared.

The tragedy of Bible illiteracy is that it separates us from the very heart of God, leaving us impoverished in spirit, vulnerable in faith, and lost in life. Let us resolve today to pick up God's Word, to read, study, and meditate upon it, so that we may live lives illuminated by His truth and empowered by His grace.

I am praying for you this morning, powers diverting your attention from the word of God shall expire in the name of Jesus

  • Genesis 29:31 "And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren."

God gave Leah a miracle and opened her womb because she was hated.

I decree, God will give you dumbfounding breakthroughs because of those who hate you in the name of Jesus
