- Luke 10:17-20 talks about the power Christ gives us to tread on serpents and scorpions and over the enemy, it seems that people are wanting that power on this side of heaven but they forget the rest of the lesson. Christ tells us not to rejoice in all of that but rejoice that our names are written in heaven. I guess what I’m saying is don’t put your treasures in this side but put them in heaven because if you have been born again by the shed blood of Christ you have a home forever to look forward to.
