I was raised in a Christian home. My mother played the piano / organ for the local church. I knew the Lord, and the plan of salvation. But that was all. I once heard it said that you can miss Heaven by 18 inches, (the distance from your head to your heart). and that is where I lived for many years! You see, I believed in the Lord Jesus, as head knowledge. But to know Him in your heart as your personal Savior and Lord, is completely different. I professed being a Christian, (because of my upbringing), I even professed being "Born Again". It was not until several years later, after a failed marriage, and working day and night to support my children, that I met the Lord in a very personal way. I have not looked back since then! There have been several times I failed, but who hasn't? With in a year, I was a sound engineer for a church. This was my calling, my ministry. Today, 40 years later, I'm still a tech at a local church. God has seen me through some rough times, but He never fails! He has blessed me more than I deserve, and He is still blessing me.

The doctors say nothing can be done with those small veins, they are the size of a strand of hai, nothing is small enough to go in to them and open them. All the doctors can do is give me medicines to try to dialate those veins.
I am at peace with this diagnosis, these docs my not know what to do, but I do know God knows what to do. - Jarrod, my son in law. Grew up in church, he is s deacons son. Well, he called me to tell me, that after all these years, he finally understood, and got saved! He always had the head knowledge, always prayed, but it was all an act, it was what was expected of a deacons child. He called to tell me that he met Jesus is a very real, personal way and that it is real. He wanted me to know that our talks were very meaningful, and instrumental for him finding the real Jesus, and not just a plastic doll in a manger.
We talked for about 30 minutes, he has found a good Bible (kjv) church, and has joined them. He thanked me for our talks, and the sermons i sent him every Sunday!
I hung up the phone, humbled, and in tears that God would use me and my gift of sound, to touch someone in this way. I am still in awe from this call, and thanking God for his salvation!
