Psalm 139:23-24 – "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Spiritual growth requires self-examination. David didn’t just ask God to judge others—he asked God to search his own heart. A mature believer allows the Lord to reveal blind spots and correct them.
Signs Your Spirit Might Be Off (Growth Check!):
Pride creeping in (thinking you know it all)
Holding grudges instead of forgiving
Drifting from God's Word and following emotions
Becoming spiritually lazy and neglecting prayer
That’s why staying in the word and walking in the Spirit is key!
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) – "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Spiritual Growth Habits:
Daily Heart Check: Ask God to search and purify your heart.
Stay in the Word: The Bible keeps us aligned with truth.
Walk in the Spirit: Let the Holy Spirit guide your actions and attitudes.
Be humble: Growth comes when we’re willing to be corrected.
True spiritual growth isn’t just about knowing more—it’s about becoming more like Christ every day! Let’s allow the Lord to mold us, shape us, and refine us.
