- It is very possible to have a God-Given Assignment and fail to deliver on it 90% of the time and the reason it's not what you think. Here's why...
I have learnt that in executing any assignment even God-given assignments -- Zeal is not enough.
I've watched and experienced countless projects launch with explosive passion only to crash and burn midway because this realization was lacking.
Beyond Zeal.. There is Need for Knowledge.
The Bible speaks about Zeal without Knowledge in Proverbs 19:2 and judges that it is not good. Many people fire up the Jets of their assignment/project with passion and quite frankly genuine and legitimate hunger in the spark of the moment - only to find out mid air that they didn't read or understand the Manual on "How to Fly, Navigate and Land a Jet" diligently.
The take-off might look impressive - Great Wedding, amazing reception, all the great content worthy photoshoots and "awwwwnns" only to get mid-air and reality hits.
But Here's what most people miss:
Even Knowledge isn't enough. You need more than that
You need the third component - CONVICTION.
Zeal gets you started
Knowledge helps you navigate
But CONVICTION keeps you airborne when the storms hit
Because make no mistake, every assignment comes with its own devils. Every endeavor faces turbulent seasons where even the strongest among us whisper:
"You sure say I never make mistake in life for this marriage wey i enter so?"
"You sure say God really call me enter this ministry so?"
"This Business....hmm...You sure say nor be oversabi been make me start am"?
Let's face it, We have all come to that point across our different journeys.
This is where most missions abort not because the enemy destroyed them, but because the missionary doubted and shut it down themselves.
Paul understood this and that's why he declared: "I KNOW in WHOM I have believed" (2 Timothy 1:12)
Here's the critical distinction:
We need to understand that It is possible to carry a Burden but not be commissioned for the Assignment.
David had a burden to build a Temple for God but He wasn't commissioned for the assignment. You can even be called to a ministry and then you hurriedly jump in without securing conviction about where you're SENT within the confines of that Ministry.
If you're about to launch (or already midway through) an assignment:
STOP. ASK. SECURE.
Don't just pray for passion. Don't just gather knowledge.
Lock yourself in the place of prayer until you emerge with unshakeable conviction.
Your assignment is too important to launch half-prepared.
I hope this resonates with you (I'll like to know if it does at least) and yeap you are permitted SHARE this with someone who needs to hear it before they launch.

Please log in to like, share and comment! - The Gospel in its true, unadulterated form is potent enough to advance the agenda of God on any matter. It doesn't require your creative marketing strategies to spice it up or make it more acceptable or "interesting "to any demographic.
This "boring" Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation and has the Compelling Ability to bring any and everything under government when unleashed.
