Oh gracious and loving God, on this Thankful Thursday morning, I come to you with a heart full of gratitude. Thank you for the gift of a new day, for the air that I breathe, for the roof over my head, and for the food on my table.

Lord, I am grateful for all the reminders you send my way, especially in moments when I am struggling. Thank you for reminding me to choose healing over hurting, to forgive instead of holding grudges, to persevere instead of giving up, to smile in the face of adversity, to love instead of hate, and to bless instead of stressing.

I am blessed beyond measure, and I thank you, dear God, for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me. Today, I choose to focus on all the good in my life and to be truly thankful for each and every thing you have given me.

May I never take your grace and mercy for granted, and may I continue to strive to be a better person each day. Thank you, God, for your love that knows no bounds. I pray for your continued guidance and protection. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

I am a new ordained minister. If anyone has abvice, that will help me grow in the minister, please provide advice.

This is my mother enjoying herself last summer. She loved to go and get hot dogs and root beer at the local root beer stand. Those days are over for her now. She now lives in a memory care home. We still treasure our times together. Enjoy your moments. Love one another as Jesus loves us. Have a blessed and restful Sunday.

Thought Of The Day...
Have you ever had a morning when you crawled wearily out of bed, stubbed your toe, burnt your toast, and had all kinds of other things go wrong? A day like that makes you want to go straight back to bed. Or maybe the circumstances are harder, and someone is telling you to hang on when you want to let go.

I wonder if Jesus’ disciples felt in a way like that when a lot of people turned away from Jesus after he shared some hard but true teachings. I wonder how many times the disciples weren’t quite sure what to do with Jesus. Was it embarrassing or confusing or overwhelming for them? Already fully committed to Jesus, they knew they couldn’t give up or let go. Jesus, who was clearly the Son of God, had met the longings of their hearts—and even on the worst days they had experienced, they knew that traveling with Jesus was enough. When he asked, “Are you going to leave too?” Peter replied with words that confirmed what the disciples were feeling: “There’s no one else to go to, and you are all we need.”

On days when you feel like giving up, throwing in the towel, or walking away from your faith, where will you go? It is too much to walk away from the one who holds you close through his presence and his words. By his character he assures you that even on a bad day, he is there.

Prayer...
Gracious and loving God, We come before you today with humble hearts and seeking minds. You have shown us, through your Son Jesus, that you have the words of eternal life. We are grateful for this gift and we ask for your guidance as we search for these words, seek to understand them, and strive to obey them.

We acknowledge that we are imperfect and we may stumble along the way. But we trust in you, Jesus, as our Lord and Savior. We trust that your words are truth and that they will lead us to everlasting life with you.

As we walk this journey, we pray that you open our hearts and minds to receive your teachings. Help us to dig deep into your word and to find the hidden treasures within. Give us the wisdom and discernment to understand your message and the strength to live by it.

We give ourselves completely to you, Jesus. Teach us, lead us, and mold us into your likeness. May we always trust in you as our hope and our salvation. And may we share your words of eternal life with those around us. We pray all this in your holy name, Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, As we gather on this blessed Monday morning, we come before you with hearts filled with gratitude for the powerful Word we received in yesterday's service. Your presence was so tangible, and your message was life-changing.

You reminded us that no matter what challenges we’re facing, we can find strength in God’s grace. It’s incredible to think that, despite our struggles, we can be uplifted and empowered to handle anything that comes our way.
Your message touched our hearts and stirred our spirits. We thank you for the anointed preaching and the worship that lifted our souls.

As we begin a new week, we pray for your continued guidance and strength. May your Word continue to transform us and make us more like you.

We also pray for your protection and provision in the days ahead. As we face the challenges of our work and daily responsibilities, may we always remember the power of your Word and the assurance that you are with us.

We surrender this week into your hands and ask that you lead us and guide us in all our ways. May we honor you in everything we do and bring glory to your name.

We pray all of this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
