• “Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods …”
    Hosea 3:1

    Thought Of The Day...
Gomer was a woman with a questionable reputation. Nevertheless, Hosea obeyed God’s command, and they married. But their marriage soon faltered. Gomer, a promiscuous woman, left Hosea for other men, just as Israel had left the Lord for other gods.

What’s a betrayed spouse to do? God tells Hosea to do the unthinkable: “Show your love to your wife again.” Gomer had humiliated Hosea by pursuing prostitution and empty promises of love from other men. But Hosea paid to bring Gomer back. And as they began their renewed life together, Hosea insisted on a renewed pledge of faithfulness.

An unlikely story? Maybe. But it’s our story! The world whispers its seductive promises to us: “Money brings happiness.” “Thin means beautiful.” “Every one’s doing it!” Like a wayward spouse, we chase false promises, but we soon find we are enslaved by destructive lies.

The glorious news of the gospel is that God takes extreme steps to redeem us. Hosea bought his wife’s freedom with fifteen pieces of silver, but God has bought our freedom with the blood of his own Son! Because he has redeemed us, he calls us into a renewed relationship of adoration and obedience.

What are we doing to show our gratitude to God for all he has done?

    Prayer...
Heavenly Father, we come before you with humble hearts, grateful for the salvation you have given us through your son, Jesus Christ. As we meditate on the words of Hosea 3:1, we are reminded of your unwavering love and redemption for your people.

We confess that there are times when we have strayed from your path and pursued our own desires. But in your mercy, you have always pursued us, even in our rebellion. Thank you for never giving up on us.

Lord, we pray that you would teach and guide us to walk in faithful obedience to your Word. May your love and grace be our motivation to live a life that is pleasing to you. May we never take advantage of your forgiveness, but rather, let it compel us to honor and serve you with all that we have.

In the midst of the uncertainties and challenges of this world, may we trust in your unfailing love and faithfulness. Remind us daily of your promises and your enduring love for us.

As we go forth, may we always remember that we are your ambassadors, called to spread your love and light to a world in need. Give us a heart of compassion and a spirit of boldness to share your message of hope.

We trust in your power and grace, and ask that you would use us for your glory. And we pray all of this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Heavenly Father, We come before you this Saturday morning with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation for the Sunday service ahead. You have blessed us with the opportunity to gather together as a community of believers and worship you.

As we prepare for this Sunday, we lift up our pastors and church leadership to you. We pray for wisdom, guidance, and discernment as they prepare the message that they will share with us. May your Holy Spirit anoint their words and guide them in presenting your word to us.

We pray for protection and strength over our pastors and leaders. May they be filled with your peace and strength as they lead us towards a deeper understanding of your love and grace. We pray that you cover them with your love and grace, and may they continue to be a shining light for your kingdom.

We also pray for ourselves, that we may have open hearts and minds to receive your message this Sunday. Help us to apply your teachings in our daily lives and to be a reflection of your love to those around us.

As we gather to worship you, we pray that the Holy Spirit works in each of our hearts and brings us closer to you. May we leave Sunday service feeling renewed, refreshed, and empowered to live out our faith. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

  • “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
    2 Corinthians 12:9

    Thought Of The Day...
We don't know what the apostle Paul's thorn in the flesh was, but it gave him serious, chronic problems. Paul says that he asked God three times to heal him. In biblical language, the number three may well mean that Paul prayed and prayed till he felt he could pray no more. At some point, Paul understood that this trial would be his for the rest of his life. Chronic pain, chronic health problems, disabilities of various kinds?all these make daily life challenging. As pain and anger grow heavy within, they can drag us into a pit of despair and bitterness. We cry out to God for relief, for healing, for wellness. And when God says, “No,” we feel abandoned. But with God's assurance, Paul came to a new understanding. After pouring out his heart for a time, Paul learned that God was going to allow him to go on living with his “thorn” indefinitely. What would happen next? God led Paul to a deeper spirituality, a greater insight into life's meaning, than he would have had without the thorn. Paul learned that grace is greater than healing, greater than relief, greater than getting what he wanted. In an act of spiritual jujitsu (skilled fighting that employs weakness), God took Paul's weakness and used it to make him strong in the battle against sin and evil. God works that way today. His grace is still sufficient.

    Prayer...
Heavenly Father, my rock and my redeemer, Sometimes, in the midst of trials and struggles, I feel as though you have abandoned me. My faith wavers and I begin to doubt your love and presence in my life. But today, I come before you humbly, laying all my doubts and fears at your feet.

I am reminded of your promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, that your grace is sufficient for me. Your grace is more than enough to carry me through any situation, to give me strength when I am weak and to comfort me when I feel alone.

Lord, I ask for your forgiveness for doubting you. Help me to trust in your perfect plan for my life, even when I can't see or understand it. Remind me of your unwavering love and faithfulness, and give me the assurance that your grace is always with me.

May your presence fill me with peace, joy, and confidence in your constant care. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Enjoy your Church Services and God Bless.
