  • Heavenly Father, We come before you this Tuesday morning, with humble hearts and grateful souls, lifting up every parent, single and married, to you. We ask for your loving guidance and strength as we navigate the challenges and joys of parenting. We pray for our spouses and children, that you would bless them and protect them, and help us to lead them on the right path.

Lord, we also pray for our finances and health. You are our Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and we trust that you will provide for all of our needs. We thank you for the times when we have felt stressed or overwhelmed, and you have made a way out of no way. May we continue to have faith and trust in your provision, even in the toughest of times.

Finally, we thank you for being our protector. We live in a world full of dangers and uncertainties, but we know that in your loving arms, we are safe and secure. We pray for your protection over our families, both physically and spiritually. Give us the wisdom and discernment to make the right decisions for our families, and may your peace be our constant companion.

Thank you, Lord, for all that you have done and continue to do for us. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

  • "One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!" John 9:25

    Thought Of The Day...
The Pharisees were furious when they heard that Jesus healed a blind man on the Sabbath, which meant he had broken the law. They tried in vain to get the man and his parents to identify Jesus as the healer.
The Pharisees tried to assure the man that his healer was a sinner. The man replied, "I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!" That drove the Pharisees into a rage. But the man said boldly, in effect, "Isn't it strange that you can't explain who my healer is? If he isn't from God, how could he perform such a miracle?" Hearing that, the Pharisees threw him out, meaning he was cut off from the local society.
No amount of evidence could make these spiritually blind leaders believe. Nowhere in the Old Testament Scriptures was a person ever healed of physical blindness. Yet Isaiah's prophecy predicted that in the Messiah's day "the eyes of the blind will see" (Isaiah 29:18). Jesus opened a man's eyes, but blind hearts couldn't read "Messiah" in what Jesus did.
Don't expect nicer treatment from spiritually blind people today. Every witness to Jesus will encounter cynicism, rebuff, and persecution, because spiritual blindness is as perverse as it is strong. Mentioning Jesus Christ is never "politically correct," because the politics of this world go against God's way.

    Prayer...
Heavenly Father, We come to you today with humble hearts and grateful minds, thanking you for your love and guidance in our lives. As we dive deeper into your word and seek to be more like your son, Jesus Christ, we ask for your strength and wisdom in our witness to others.

Just as the blind man in John 9 boldly proclaimed his faith in Jesus, let us also have the courage to speak the truth and share the good news with those who do not see or hear it. Though the world may reject and ridicule your name, may we stand firm in our service and devotion to you.

Guide us in our situations where we may face opposition or doubt, and help us to remain steadfast in our faith. May our actions and words reflect your love and truth to those around us, drawing them closer to you.

We thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus, and for the example he set through his unwavering faith. May we continue to follow his lead and share your message of hope and salvation with the world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

  • Heavenly Father, On this Thankful Thursday morning, we come before you with grateful hearts and open minds. We thank you for your endless love and grace that has sustained us through every trial and victory.

Today, we are reminded of the powerful words in Proverbs 3:5-6, to trust in you with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. We surrender our worries and fears to you, knowing that you are in control and have a perfect plan for our lives.

We are also reminded of the gentle reminder in Philippians 4:6, to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, present our requests to you with thanksgiving. We thank you for your promise to listen to our prayers and provide for our needs.

Father, we lift up our voices in praise and thanksgiving for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us. We thank you for the gift of life, for our families, friends, and all the other things we often take for granted.

As we go about our day, may we never forget to thank you for your goodness and faithfulness. May we trust in your unfailing love and walk in your ways, for you are our strength and refuge.

We pray this in Jesus name, Amen

  • For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to . . . the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.
    —  Hebrews 4:12-13

    Thought Of The Day...
A surgeon uses a scalpel to begin a process of opening a patient up. The surgeon does this in order to see or understand more about a problem inside the patient.
Hebrews describes God’s Word as “sharper than any double-edged sword.” In our world today, this picture of a sword may be difficult to grasp. The idea of a scalpel may be a little easier to understand. A scalpel can open us up and reveal what’s going on inside us.
As Hebrews urges us to “make every effort to enter [God’s] rest,” we soon learn why we should pay attention to that warning—“for the word of God is alive and active.” The all-powerful, all-knowing God knows us through and through; nothing “is hidden from God’s sight.”
Sometimes we try to hide and cover up the sin in our life. But nothing is hidden from God. And God’s Word reveals things in us and to us that we might think could be hidden. It shows us the truth about us.
We are called to strive to enter into God’s rest; we need to continue following the Lord and not harden our hearts to him. God guides us through his Word. By the power of his Spirit, God convicts us of the truth through his Word and leads us to live by the way of love, sharing his goodness and his good news with others.

    Prayer...
Heavenly Father, we come to you in humble reverence, seeking your guidance and grace as we strive to live according to your will. We are reminded of your powerful Word in Hebrews 4:12-13, which declares that your Word is living and active, piercing to the very depths of our soul and spirit, discerning the thoughts and intentions of our hearts.

Lord, we pray that your Word would continue to be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. May it guide us in all that we do, preserving us from the temptations of this world and leading us towards your eternal rest.

As we seek to share your grace with others, may your Word be a source of truth and conviction, drawing others to a saving knowledge of your love. Let it not return void, but accomplish all that you desire for it to do.

Lord, help us to cling to your Word and let it be the foundation of our faith. May it be a source of comfort, strength, and instruction as we journey through this life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

  • Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
    — 1 Corinthians 13:12b

    Thought Of The Day...
I want to believe with all my heart “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). But I must confess that I don’t always see and understand fully the good that God is working out in many situations.
For example, I don’t understand fully the good that God is working out through the enslavement and continued racial discrimination against people, like myself, of African descent. I don’t understand fully the good that comes from the sexual abuse, and sometimes murder of innocent, helpless children. I can’t comprehend the good that is derived from the genocide resulting from people who demonize others in the name of religion. I don’t always see the good that God is working out through diseases like cancer, schizophrenia, and Alzheimers. I often feel like that father of a demon-possessed son who cried out to Jesus, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24).
How do I avoid being overwhelmed with despair? I cling to the belief that “God is love” (1 John 4:16). And I cling to his promise that one day “I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” I pray that you too are sustained by this belief in the one who “loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). as we journey toward the resurrected life in Christ Jesus.

    Prayer...
Heavenly Father, Today, I come before you in the humblest way I know how. Longing for the day when I shall know fully your loving ways. Your love is beyond measure and your ways are higher than ours. But I believe that one day, I will understand it fully.

Father, I pray that you would deepen my faith and hope until I attain to the goal of my faith – perfection. Draw me closer to you and reveal yourself to me in new and wondrous ways. Help me to trust in your perfect plan for my life and to have unwavering faith in your promises.

I know that in this world, I will face trials and struggles. But I pray that through it all, my faith will remain strong and my hope will never falter. Help me to fix my eyes on you, knowing that one day I will see you face to face and understand your love in all its glory.

I thank you, Father, for your unending love and for the grace that is sufficient for me. May I continue to grow in my faith and hope, until the day when I am made perfect in your presence. I pray all of this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Enjoy your Sunday Church Services and God Bless!
