I so much love God's word. It gives balance to life. God's Word is the only thing that limits and unlimit God. God's Word is what determines what God will do and what He is doing at hand. God's Word is what validates every one of his thoughts, words and actions. Take a look at the scripture above. God changes times and seasons. So both God's time and the time of life is subject to His authority and control. He can change them at will. Glory to God. God allows the time of life to run its course but He can adjust the time of life to fit into his plans. He can break protocol, suspend a law or principle to meet a need or fulfill his promises. Take for instance: He made the sun stand still, Joshua 10:13. Sarah, who was past childbearing, conceived, Heb.11:11. He stopped death and raised Himself. Who told you it is over, who told you, you are finished, who told you there's nothing that can be done? Who told you, you can't marry and have kids? Who told you life has to take it's course? Every challenge has a timeframe. Every season has an endpoint. The times and seasons you are in right now might be the worst you have ever experienced in your life and it seems it has come to stay. I am glad to let you know that; that difficult situation will also pass. IT CAME, IT WILL PASS. Noah entered into the Ark with his family and the animals and the Ark was shut (locked) behind them. The Ark was tossed on everyside by the wind and storm. Do you know what this means? They lost their comfort, freedom and normal life just to stay alive. They equally lost friends, relatives, neighbours because they didn't believe nor obey to join them in the Ark. But Noah and family remained in isolation in the Ark FOR FORTY DAYS. It was traumatizing for them. But at the end, ALL THE TRAUMER ENDED. Listen, this your traumer will also end. This your challenges, difficulties and devastating situation of life will also end. From the scripture above, the word "benefits" represents: blessings, opportunities, goodness and mercy. These are the things God has prepared for you today and this week. Guess what, everyone has a portion. You can't exhaust it. These blessings and opportunities, comes without limits, without bounds. You won't loose your portion. The Eagle, known as the king of the sky have have learnt and practiced the power of Seclusion. At about 40 years old, its body begins to fail. Its talons grow long and flexible, unable to grip prey. Its beak becomes bent and heavy, pressing against its chest. Its old, thick feathers become too heavy for flight, making it hard to soar. To survive, the Eagle 🦅 enters a period of seclusion. She shut off or keep apart from company, society, etc.; withdraws from everything into solitude for 150 days (about five months). After this period, it enjoys renewal, growth and transformation and then lives another 30–40 years. Sometimes you must withdraw from noise, people, things and all forms of distractions before you can have an encounter with destiny. GROWTH REQUIRES ISOLATION. TRANSFORMATION IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT SECLUSION. Jacob had an encounter with God when he was left alone. The world we live in is a noisy place. Many things like the phone in your hand, which was designed to enhance our lives, has become a distraction. There are Churches that holds services or activities everyday of the week - instead of improving you, they distract you. Let me share a particular story about BILL GATES. Bill Gates, the Founder of Microsoft (stepped down as CEO in 2000), has and practice what is called "Think Weeks" program. It is a legendary "twice-yearly ritual", where he "ISOLATES" himself in a remote cabin to DISCONNECT for seven days. He retreats to a secluded, two-story clapboard cabin in a cedar forest in the Pacific Northwest, with a view of the Olympic Mountains—an intentionally DISTRACTION-FREE ENVIRONMENT. During this "Think Weeks", he receives/accepts No visitors, no phone, no internet, and no TV. The only human contact is a caretaker who drops off two simple meals a day. - He spends up to 18 hours a day reading and annotating technical papers and employee memos . His record is 112 papers in a single week! He takes his Meals at the kitchen table while still reading. - These "weeks" led to major pivots for Microsoft, including the Internet Explorer strategy in 1995 and concepts that became the Tablet PC and online gaming. He noted that this intense, distraction-free focus was crucial to his success. This practice was a key strategic tool during his time at Microsoft. Every great man has a secret - an open secret. One of their secret is the ability to isolate, seclude, withdraw themselves into solitude. Have you noticed that great people have few circle of friends. Today, we focus on Jesus Christ. One of the most important and powerful activities in Jesus's ministry is his constant withdrawal from everything to be alone. This scripture confirms it: But Jesus "OFTEN" withdrew to lonely "PLACES" and prayed. Luke 5:16 NIV. Mark the word "often" - "always". And in the morning, ...he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35 KJV Jesus modeled solitude as a core part of his life and ministry. It was a regular habit. It was a constant everytime routine. Jesus had just 12 disciples, yet at certain times, they were a crowd to him so he takes just 3 of them and at other times, he withdraws alone to a quiet place. Jesus had unlimited access to strength, Grace and power, yet he wouldn't spend it all with the people - HE KEPT A TIME FOR HIMSELF - ALONE, OFTEN. Greatness is birthed in secret. Success is shaped in the secret. Growth first happen in darkness before it manifest to light. Those who play and win are not those in the crowd, they are those whose circle are few - the eleven. The crowd pay the bills, the few win the crown. The lion is the king of the jungle but the tortoise outlive him. You know why? Because the tortoise have learnt to always withdraw into his shell. Do you want to fulfill destiny? Then avoid the crowd. Create a withdrawal system. Appear for a while but learn to withdraw and be alone. Learn to retreat. Practice isolation. Separation is not an act of idleness. It is not a means to become slothful or inactive. It is rather an opportunity to be more engaging. It is an opportunity to tactful. There is always a greater purpose for every withdrawal. Destiny is established on intentional and purposeful engagement. Take a look at scripture: JACOB'S EXAMPLE: And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him. Jacob separated for warfare. He knows he can't win with Esau until he wins in the spiritual so he stayed back alone, to address this matter spiritually first. THERE ARE BATTLES YOU CAN'T WIN IN THE CHURCH - VICTORY IS ONLY ACHIEVED IN THE SECRET PLACE. JESUS'S EXAMPLE: And he withdrew himself...and prayed. Luke 5:16. Jesus always withdraw to commune with divinity. Every major event in the ministry of Jesus that culminates in signs and wonders is always preceded he withdrawing himself to pray. He withdraws always to draw virtue always no wonder miracles accompanied his ministry always. MOSES'S EXAMPLE: Moses Ascended Mount Sinai alone for 40 days to receive the Law Exo 24:18, and spent years in isolation in Midian before leading Israel. APOSTLE PAUL'S EXAMPLE: After his conversion, he spent three years in Arabia, away from the church, for reflection and preparation Gal 1:17-18. THE EAGLES/BILL GATES EXAMPLE: The Eagle withdraws to renew, revive and regrow. While Bill Gates withdraw to meditate and re-evaluate. What you do in isolation is what defines what you draw from it. Life is full of challenges. Life is full of uncertainties. My grandfather (Bishop David Oyedepo) said: to be challenged is scriptural but to be defeated is unscriptural. Challenges are real, our victory is more real. Challenges are gateway to our liftings in life. If there are no test and trials, how would you qualify for promotion? Your spiritual position, religious affiliation or association does not and will not exempt you from challenges in life. What defines your victory over those challenges is your ability to TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. You must be ready to take your life in your hands and fight. This is possible via personal approach in separation. Many are tired of their situation but are unwilling to seek God's face personally. They want a quick fix. They want an anointed man, a prophet to save them. BUT EVERYONE HAS EQUAL AND ACCESS TO GOD. The power and results generated during isolation and separation is highly potent and productive. Jacob, had an encounter with God that got him victory over Esau during separation. Moses had an encounter with God alone, that delivered the ten commandments. My victory over 2yrs barrenness came when I separated myself, alone at the redemption camp. Your challenge is not unique, your foundational problem is not peculiar, your inability to separate yourself, alone is what makes it peculiar. LEAVE EVERYTHING, ABANDON EVERYTHING AND SEPARATE YOUR SELF ALONE FOR AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD FOR YOUR CHANGE OF DESTINY. You have explained to every prophet, it's time to talk to God directly. Life is progressive. God is progressive. Everything plan, project or vision from God is designed to continue - progressively. In God's agenda, a stop in only for rest not an end. In Genesis chapter two, God finished "His work" but other works continued. Jesus finished his work on earth but handed over works to the Apostles. In one of his teachings, Jesus said: my father worketh, hitherto I work. Even right now he is still working for us from the right hand of the father. Today, many believers have settled down to rest, they have become complacent. They have reached a certain point and achieved certain goals in there lives and they are satisfied. They have become comfortable. But God is saying to you, THIS IS NOT YOUR REST. Where you are now, is good enough, it's an achievement, you have tried, you have done your bits and possibly your best. God is saying: arise and depart, for this is not your rest. Take a look at what God told Joshua: ...Lord said unto him(Joshua), Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. Joshua 13:1 KJV. As good and lofty as where you are right, it is not a your place of rest. And maybe you are down, and below, I want to tell you, that is not God ordained place for you. It is not your end, that is not your bustop. You might have given up trying, and you think you can't go further, don't.
