• The perfect sacrifice had come. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, gave His life so that sin could be taken away once and for all. What countless sacrifices pointed toward was fulfilled on the cross through Him.

The Lamb was slain so the world could be redeemed.

  • Hope is rising… Sunday is coming.

The cross brought sorrow, the tomb brought silence—but the story wasn’t over. What looked like the end for Jesus Christ was only the beginning of the greatest victory.

Darkness may last for a moment, but resurrection morning is on the way.

  • Good Friday – The Cross That Changed Everything

Today we remember Good Friday—the day Jesus Christ was crucified. At first glance, it seems like a day of suffering, injustice, and death. But in reality, it is the greatest display of God’s love, mercy, and redemption the world has ever seen.

GOOD FRIDAY takes place during the Jewish Passover, a time when Israel remembered how God delivered them from slavery in Egypt through the blood of the lamb placed on their doorposts.

    This is not a coincidence.

Jesus entered Jerusalem earlier that week as the Passover Lamb. Throughout the week, He taught in the temple, confronted religious hypocrisy, and prepared His disciples. By Thursday night, He was betrayed by Judas, arrested, and taken before religious leaders and Roman authorities.

Though innocent, Jesus was falsely accused, mocked, beaten, and sentenced to death by crucifixion—a punishment reserved for the worst criminals.

Yet this was all part of God’s plan.

    THE MEANING OF THE CROSS

Jesus did not go to the cross as a victim—He went willingly.

On the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the sin of the world. Every sin—past, present, and future—was placed upon Him. The punishment that we deserved was poured out on Him.

    He became our substitute.

Where there should have been judgment for us, there was mercy through Him.

THE CROSS SHOWS US TWO POWERFUL TRUTHS:

    1. The seriousness of sin

    2. The depth of God’s love

Jesus paid the full price so that we could be forgiven, restored, and brought into a relationship with God.

    What Jesus Accomplished

On the cross, Jesus declared, It is finished.

This was not a statement of defeat—it was a declaration of victory.

    Sin was paid for

    The debt was canceled

The way to God was opened

The veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, showing that access to God was no longer limited. Through Jesus, we can now come directly to the Father.

    APPLICATION FOR OUR LIVES:

Good Friday calls us to respond.

This is not just a historical event—it is a personal invitation.

    Jesus died for you

    He took your place

He offers you forgiveness and new life

THE QUESTION IS, WHAT WILL YOU DEAL WITH THE CROSS?

Will you receive what Jesus has done, or will you walk away?

Will you surrender your life to Him, or continue trying to carry your own burden?

Good Friday is not the end of the story—but it is the turning point.

The cross looked like defeat, but it was actually victory.

    Because of the cross:

    We are forgiven

    We are redeemed

    We are made new

Let this day not just be remembered—let it transform you.

    WE LEARN THREE THINGS:

    1. Jesus willingly took your place on the cross

    2. The price for your sin has been fully paid

    3. You now have direct access to God through Jesus

Come to the cross. Receive His grace. Walk daily with Jesus on Lordsbook.

  • The way is open. You are welcomed into His presence.

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the barrier of sin that separated humanity from God has been removed. Through Him, we can come boldly into God’s presence, not by our own merit, but by His grace.
