David, born into a preacher's home in the late forties, moved to Alaska as a married man in 1981, driven by his adventurous spirit. In the 1980s, he staked a forty-acre homestead and built a log cabin, where he, Janice, and their adopted daughter, Reyna, braved a winter in the mid-90s. During those long nights, David reflected on God and began formulating ideas for his fiction series, The Northern Force. His passion for God and study of the Word led him to explore themes of the 'last days.'

As a former youth pastor in the 70s and 80s and a Christian schoolteacher from 2001 to 2014, David drew inspiration from great authors to pen The Northern Force, a five-book series depicting Christ followers navigating the challenges of the 'Tribulation' after the Rapture. He has also self-published adventure-filled and lighthearted works, including Destroying Leadership, Dniknam The Lesser, Truth Alaska Style, and Inside The Cover.

David graduated from Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley, CA, and earned his Master's of Ed in 2007 from Jones International University. Retired, he now resides in Missoula, MT, with Janice, who teaches at a Christian school. Together, they have six children and eleven grandchildren.
