Dear Friends,
Today I wish to share some personal reflections with you that became so very clear to me while I was preparing my sermon for my impoverished brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
Too often the modern church has focused more upon our status in this world than upon our identity in Christ. We become consumed with our position, our possessions, our health, our finances, and the temporary struggles of this life, while forgetting who we truly are as children of the only true and living God.
The world teaches us to measure value by success, wealth, influence, and outward appearance. But Scripture reminds us that everything in this world is temporary. Our real treasure is not found in earthly security, but in the eternal freedom we have through our Lord Jesus Christ.
As Christians, we are no longer slaves to fear, sin, guilt, or the opinions of the world. Through Christ we have been redeemed, forgiven, adopted into the family of God, and given the promise of eternal life. That identity is far greater than any title, position, or earthly achievement.
When we truly understand who we are in Christ, it changes how we live. We stop allowing temporary problems to define us. We stop measuring our worth by worldly standards. Instead, we walk in peace, confidence, and freedom, knowing that we belong to the King of Kings.
This world is temporary, but our relationship with Christ is eternal. Never forget your true identity — you are a child of the living God.
May the Lord bless and strengthen you always.
