Devotional
Resurrection Sunday is the triumph of life over death, hope over despair, and victory over sin. The stone was rolled away, not just from the tomb, but from every barrier that separated us from God.

What was finished on the cross was confirmed in the resurrection—Jesus is alive. Because He lives, we have new life, new hope, and a future secured in Him.

Perhaps today, don’t live as though the grave still holds power. Walk in the freedom, joy, and victory that come from a risen Savior. The same power that raised Christ is alive in you.

Black Saturday is the quiet in-between—the silence after the cross and before the resurrection. Hope seemed buried, prayers felt unanswered, and all appeared lost.

Yet even in the silence, God was still working. What looked like the end was only preparation for victory.

Perhaps today, if you find yourself in a waiting season—where answers are few and silence is loud—remember this: God is never absent in the stillness. He is moving, even when you cannot see it. Hold on. Sunday is coming.

What is perishable will be put on imperishable.

What is weary will be renewed forever.

The trumpet will sound—clear, final, unmistakable.
And in that moment, death loses its hold, and eternity breaks through.

So today, live ready.
Live anchored in hope.
Live with your eyes lifted beyond what is seen.

Because at any moment…
He could call—and everything will be made new.

It was not a whisper of defeat—it was a declaration of victory.
Every sin paid. Every debt canceled. Every barrier removed.

Nothing left undone. Nothing left unpaid.
The work of redemption is complete.

Perhaps today… you don’t carry what He already finished.
You don’t strive for what He already secured.

You rest in it. You walk into it. You live free because of it.

Jesus, thank You that what I could never finish, You completed on the cross.
Teach me to live in the freedom You secured—fully, boldly, and faithfully. Amen.

Put your trust in the One who leads you along narrow paths and brings you into wide open places—where lush green meadows flourish and peaceful streams run still.

This Easter, the invitation from Jesus Christ isn’t just to remember the cross—it’s to respond to it.

He is asking you to lay something down that you’ve been carrying too long.

The hate that keeps your heart heavy
The jealousy that steals your peace
The anger that clouds your vision
The fear that holds you back

Or maybe something deeper…

Not just an emotion—but control.
Not just a struggle—but your whole life. Easter is not only about what He gave, it’s about what we are willing to surrender in return.

He laid down His life so that we could be free.
Now He gently asks: Will we trust Him with ours?

Perhaps today… lay it down, and let resurrection life rise in its place.

Father God,
We come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your covering over our families and friends. Surround them with Your protection, guard their minds and bodies, and draw them close to You each day.
Lord, we lift up America to You. Let Your mercy rest upon this land, and may Your truth guide our hearts back to You.
We also pray for our leaders—grant them wisdom, integrity, and discernment. Lead them to make decisions that honor You and bring peace, justice, and righteousness.
Keep us steady in faith, trusting that You are our refuge and strength. Protect our fearless men and women in the military and bring them safely back home to their loved ones.

Perhaps Today...

Revelation 12:11 ESV
And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Victory was never meant to be earned—it was secured through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The blood of the Lamb speaks on our behalf, covering what once condemned us.

And our testimony? It’s not just our story—it’s evidence of His power at work in our lives.

Fear loses its grip when you remember what He has already done. Silence breaks when you speak what He has brought you through. And even in the face of loss, uncertainty, or opposition, there is a deeper truth: this life is not your final home.

Jesus calls His followers salt—something small, yet powerful. Salt preserves, purifies, and brings out flavor. In the same way, your life is meant to influence the world around you with truth, grace, and righteousness.
But notice the warning: salt that loses its savor becomes useless. This speaks to a faith that blends in rather than stands apart. When we dilute our witness, we lose the very purpose we were given.

Perhaps Today-Rest in His Promise

John 14:1–3 (KJV)

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

When uncertainty rises and the heart feels unsettled, Jesus speaks peace directly into the storm: “Let not your heart be troubled.” This is not a denial of hardship—but an invitation to trust.

He is not distant or unaware. He is preparing something eternal. A place. A promise. A return.

You are not forgotten. You are being prepared for, just as a place is being prepared for you.

Prayer
Thank You Jesus that You have not forgotten about me, but are preparing a special place for me in Your Father's kingdom.

You may feel the battle, but not every battle is fought with human strength. Some struggles are deeper than what can be seen, and they will never be won by anger, fear, or fleshly effort. God has given His people spiritual weapons that are far more powerful than anything this world can offer. Pray, stand in truth, and trust Him to tear down every stronghold that tries to rise against you.

Temptation

Perhaps Today… come home.

There is no distance too far, no failure too great, that can keep you from the Father’s embrace. The son returned with shame—but the father ran with compassion. Before a word of apology could be finished, grace had already spoken.

God is not waiting to condemn you—He is waiting to restore you.

No matter where you’ve been, His arms are still open.

Father, thank You that I can come to You just as I am. When I feel far away, remind me that Your love never moves. Give me the courage to return and the faith to receive Your grace. Amen.

Walk with Him through Holy Week.

From the praise of Palm Sunday

Holy Week reminds me that love is not just spoken—

God Is Still Calling

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Perhaps Today, God is reminding you that His absence is not His delay. What may seem slow to us is often Gods mercy at work. His heart is patient, loving, and full of compassion, giving people time to turn back to Him.

God does not desire destruction for anyone. He is reaching, calling, and waiting with open arms. His patience is proof of His great love. If He has been dealing with your heart, do not ignore His voice. Today is another gift of grace, another opportunity to repent, return, and walk closely with Him.

Lord, thank You for Your patience and mercy toward me. Thank You for not giving up on me. Help me to respond to Your call with a willing heart, and let my life reflect true repentance and faith in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Good morning Father! Thank you for this day that lies before me. Watch over my family and friends. Remove from us all forms of pride, bitterness, frustration, anger, hatred, confusion, resentment, and unforgiveness from our hearts we have held towards You, our family, friends or anyone else, and replace it with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In a world that urges constant movement, God often calls us to stillness. The man on the dock reminds us that before we go out into life’s demands, we must first sit in His presence. With a cup in hand and His Word open, he chooses quiet trust over anxious striving.

Stillness is not weakness—it is surrender. It is the quiet confidence that God is already at work in battles we cannot see. While we rest in Him, He moves on our behalf.

Perhaps today, pause before you proceed. Sit with Him. Trust Him. Let Him fight for you.

Prayer
Father, teach me to be still in a restless world. Quiet my heart and help me trust that You are working in every situation I face. Remind me that I do not have to carry every burden, because You are fighting for me. As I sit in Your presence, fill me with peace, strength, and confidence in Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, amen.
