A Christian Biography of Myself, Karl Paolo Orido
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."
— 3 John 1:4 (KJV)
I, Karl Paolo Orido, was born in the isles of the Philippines. I am the eldest son of a faithful servant of God, my father, who was a pastor and hath now entered into his rest. From my youth, I was raised under the shelter of the Word, and in the fear of the LORD. I beheld the example of my father—a man who labored in the vineyard of Christ, sowing the seed of the Gospel and feeding the flock of God.
In the year of our Lord, 2019, the Lord, in His sovereign will, called home my father. Though the earthly parting brought sorrow, I was comforted in the hope of the resurrection and in the promise that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)
From my youth, I was taught the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make one wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Though the path of life hath not been without valleys and affliction, I have learned to trust in the LORD with all my heart.
I pursued the study of Food Technology, and for a season was employed in the labors of the marketplace, particularly in the BPO industry. Yet I have long desired to walk in the calling wherein I may honor God through diligence, innovation, and integrity in the field of my profession.
I am a man not given to the ways of the world. Though acquainted with weakness and the battles of the mind, I seek daily strength from above. I believe in being a gentleman without compromise, a high-value man who rejecteth both idolatry and the flatteries of men, choosing rather to walk in truth, even when it is costly.
I count my time as a gift from God and esteem relationships that are grounded in truth, respect, and mutual honor. I pursue not vanity, but seek to please the Lord in word and deed.
Though my earthly father is now with Christ, I seek to carry on the legacy of faith, pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. My desire is not for the praise of men, but that when my own time shall come, I too may hear the words:
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
— Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
Until that day, I continue steadfast in hope, rooted in the Word, waiting for the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
"The memory of the just is blessed..."
— Proverbs 10:7 (KJV)
Amen.
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."
— 3 John 1:4 (KJV)
