  • Some of the best books I’ve encountered on human behavior, interaction, transaction, and influence were written by evolutionists or atheists such as Robert Greene, Chase Hughes, Vanessa Van Edwards, David Murray, Josh Kaufman, Eric Ries, Simon Sinek, Robert Kiyosaki, and others. The same is true of some of the most influential web applications, including social media platforms and online marketplaces. While I respect the depth and dexterity of these works, they often reflect the values, beliefs, philosophies, and assumptions of their creators.
The unsettling reality is that many of these systems function as instruments of mind formation and influence. While men slept, often distracted by envy and rivalry even within large church auditoriums, subtle tares were sown by the enemy. It is time for Christians to rise and create works that address the why behind human behavior and interaction. Writing books on theology, leadership, organization, and spirituality is good, but it is not sufficient. We must also engage the areas that actually drive people’s interests, decisions, and desires.
Massively corrupted cultures require intensive renewal at the roots. Yet the average Christian, pressed for time and formation, often avoids rigorous engagement and thoughtful argument altogether.
