And now the Summer’s dying,
I feel I’m dying too,
I’m finding life quite trying,
I don’t know what to do,
The garden’s mostly over,
The Autumn rain is cold,
The lawn more moss and clover,
It makes me feel so old,
I hope to see the Spring come,
Through Winters’ hard ordeal,
Each Autumn stops the Bees hum,
So long with no flower meal,
But Christmas helps my spirit,
With joy for the Christ child,
The New Year comes with merit,
In hopes of weather mild.Year ending And now the Summer’s dying, I feel I’m dying too, I’m finding life quite trying, I don’t know what to do, The garden’s mostly over, The Autumn rain is cold, The lawn more moss and clover, It makes me feel so old, I hope to see the Spring come, Through Winters’ hard ordeal, Each Autumn stops the Bees hum, So long with no flower meal, But Christmas helps my spirit, With joy for the Christ child, The New Year comes with merit, In hopes of weather mild.2 Comments 0 Shares 14 Views2

How does one value one’s self,
When God died for each one?
In Jesus who has lived here,
The sacrificial Son.
I feel myself so worthless,
A liar and a thief,
Who sins and fails so freely,
Saved by skin of my teeth.
And why is God so gracious?
Who has His mercy shown,
Then offers us His friendship,
Our Creator can be known.
You say these are all fables,
The dreaming of a child,
That life itself is random,
The Earth just raw and wild.
Ideas of what is righteous,
The scriptures that we read,
The Law once made and broken,
The martyrs blood not seed?
One day the truth will come back,
Mankind will all be judged,
That day things will be clearer,
And Gods’ Word sharp, not smudged.
