  • SPIRITUAL GROWTH:
Every born again believer in CHRIST ought to grow in faith through learning the knowledge of the Word of GOD. This is the simplest way to introduce the process of spiritual growth (Eph 4:15; 1Pet 2:2; 2Pet 3:18).

The complication begins after we have read all these verses and possibly more verses about WHERE we are in our faith [we are at INFANCY STAGE - "like new born babies"]; HOW to progress from where we are to the next level. Many born again believers start off and regrettably get stuck at REPENTANCE and NEW BORN stage ["Repent ..." Acts 3:19] and have no one to help them get to the next stage/level namely, CONVERSION ["Repent and BE CONVERTED" Acts 3:19].

One of my bad experiences in the social media Christian groups is encountering zealously vocal born again believers who are 'stuck at REPENTANCE and NEW BORN stage' of their Christian life; sadly these are the people who often confuse those who "crave the spiritual milk of the Word" and this confusion they spread by making comments that distract 'those who crave' the knowledge of the Word as posted by those who know a little more than what 'babies' know.

    HOW to progress?
[Assuming that every minister of CHRIST fulfils the two-fold mandate of the Great Commission namely, The Preaching Commandment {Mark 16:15} and The Teaching Commandment {Matt. 28:20}, one would break down the process of 'HOW to progress' as follows]:
    * Learning ~ every born again believer must or ought to have a willingness to learn, "Learn from Me" the LORD says, Matt 11:29.
    * Teaching ~ every born again believer starts off as a "new born baby" irrespective of their age in natural years; as such each baby needs an adult to teach him/her the knowledge of the Scriptures, the LORD'S commandment to the "perfectly trained" (Luk 6:40) apostles/ministers is: "teaching them to obey everything I taught you" (Matt 28:20); hence every born again believer "needs someone to teach" them (Heb 5:12) the "basic principles of CHRIST". [This is where those who are 'stuck at REPENTANCE and NEW BORN stage' often protest out of ignorance saying 'The HOLY SPIRIT teaches us not man'. Had they been "perfectly trained" and "thoroughly equipped" in the Word, they would understand that - according to GOD'S design, there is ONE teacher (the HOLY SPIRIT) but HE teaches through human agents.
    Let me pause ...
