  • Not long ago in a church worship service I was afforded the opportunity to help a young mom by holding her son as she went about doing the work that God has put on her heart to do. The young boy doesn't know me and I know little about him. As the worship service continued he fell asleep in my arms. Somewhere in his spirit, I guess, he decided that he could trust me and just rest knowing he was protected. I'm sure I don't know how that works. I was a little surprised on how comfortable he must have been, not only physically but in his sprit as well. During his short sleep, 5 or 6 minutes I had the opportunity to pray for him, what an honor it is to pray for others. I think we often take praying for others to lightly. God is very specific in His word that we are to pray for one another. Ephesians 6:18 is just one example. Here I am, days later, as I am in prayer he comes to mind. Thinking about how trusting he was. Then how I felt about him, never gave that much thought. I fell in love with him as if he was my own son or grandson. I would have protected him with my life if needed, just as if he was my own. Me, as human dad, with the dad instincts that my heavenly Father put in me. Not forced but automatically activated. So if this is how I felt, how much more does God feel when we come into His loving arms, trusting that He will comfort us, and protect us, no matter what. That little boy had no worries. How much more when we come before our Father can we rest and trust in Him with our lives? How much more does He see us and love us as His children? I know how I felt and that is but a small thing compared to the Father's love for us. We are called to come before Him as little children, 100% all in, trusting and resting in Him. Just as that little boy rested in my arms without a care in the world. I want to encourage you to run to your heavenly Father, fall into His loving arms! Leave the cares of the world to Him. His love for you is so much more than I could ever put into words. Rest in Him and see how much He loves you for who you are. You are His chosen and so valuable, trust in Him today. #hisrefuagefarm

  • I find that when going through a time of dryness (the desert) that the enemy will try to take that time and deceive us into doubting the word of God. That is always his plan. It worked in the garden and has throughout history. It has proven to be effective in turning man's hearts from God. As we work through the stuff that Satan throws at us, we need to take those lies and bring them before the Holy Spirit. As hard as that may seem, no matter how we feel, we need to stand firmly on the word of God, without any doubt knowing that He is always faithful to His promises. Regardless of what we see or how we feel, His truth is solid and He is faithful to it. Somewhere in our feelings of self-pity we need to remember that God has not moved from us, but maybe we have distanced ourselves, or there is something that the Holy Spirit wants to teach us, but we haven't allowed Him too, so He will get our attention. I find this to be more of the truth. I want to encourage you that when you find yourself in a season of dryness that instead of asking why me, ask what am I supposed to learn through this season? What am I to do with what you are teaching me? And to continue to seek Him no matter your feelings or what you see. God is always faithful. The photo of the sun raising on the horizon was taken after a night of stormy weather. It reminds me of coming out of the desert. His radiant presence after our season of dryness. He was always there but we couldn't completely see Him. According to His word in Deuteronomy 7:9 [AMP] "Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His Jeremie Tadeo lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments" Continue to seek the face of God, He has promised that if we seek Him with our whole heart, He will be found. His Promise! Don't let the enemy get a foothold. God loves you and will never leave you. Don't be deceived, don't let doubt creep in. Our God is faithful! Take and drink of His living water and let it restore your dry and thirsty soul. What is He teaching you today? You are so valuable and loved by Jesus! Rejoice in Him. #hisrefugefarm
