Ok, I see and hear alot of people saying I'm getting baptized on such and such day. I beg to question......1. Have you accepted God's call to salvation?
2. Have you repented and confessed your sins?
3.Then recieved the Holy Spirit?
4. And then baptized?
If not, your not truly saved. baptism does not save you.
Acts 2:38 AMP
And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 10:9-13 AMP
......because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming Phillip Kotze salvation. [11] For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED [in his expectations].” [12] For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. [13] For “WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD [in prayer] WILL BE SAVED.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 AMP
For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this Eze Nnaemeka Hillary is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; [9] not as a result of Kama Emma works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].
True baptism:
Romans 6:3-4 AMP
Or are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? [4] We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father........... Amen!
