Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
As I was sitting here drinking my coffee and scrolling on social media, I happened upon an interesting thought. Interesting enough to repost here and see what your thoughts are.
Have you ever wondered why the serpent went after Eve instead of Adam in the garden?
To be honest, I really never gave it a second thought. I just presumed it was what it was. However, this commentator makes a valid argument. Tell me what you think.
From the moment Adam was created, he was Adam. However, Eve did not become ‘Eve’ until after the fall. She was only referred to as the woman.
She had no identity.
Satan went after the one who did not have an identity in God, she did not have a relationship with God.
The enemy is still doing this tactic today. If you do not have a solid footing in Christ, you will believe anything that you read, hear, or see.
Something to think about. Short. Sweet. To the point.
Be blessed today my friends. Let me know your thoughts.
***Now the serpent was ore crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” – Genesis 3:1
Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living. – Genesis 3:20
