EARLY FIRE 🔥 WINE June 1, 2025 Topic: ATTITUDE (31) By BBJohn Undivided loyalty is the twentieth attitude. It should be our firm principle of life. Jesus in Matthew 6.24 emphasized the impracticality divided loyalty in spiritual service when He said, "You cannot serve God and Mammon." Serving two masters indicates divided loyalty and the shocking truth is that it's practically impossible. That's why Jesus said: "You Cannot". In other words, it is impossible for you and me to be equally devoted to God and Mammon at a time. It's impracticable trying to serve Christ and Satan or materialism at a time. Divided loyalty is broken devotion, shared love, and paired worship. It is sin of spiritual adultery and disobedience. It is proof of zero love for God. Since we cannot equally love, serve, obey and worship Jesus and money together, serving God and mammon will amount to loss. Love and devotion for God should be absolute. If it isn't, it is a loss. It is loss when commitment to material possessions is higher than devotion to God. Serving two masters will always end in futility. It is high time we abandoned other masters and cleave to the Master of the Universe. If we truly know Jesus Christ, let’s also follow and serve Him with all our hearts, without any forms of divided loyalty. Jesus enjoined us to love God with all our hearts and might. Let's put God first and above all else in our lives. There is dangerous to drive life by greed and self-centeredness. The love of money is the root of all evils. Greed and avarice lead to wickedness. Therefore, let's make God the object of our love, devotion and worship in spiritual service. Let's be wholly devoted to God and serve Him. This is the only way to avoid loss of spiritual values, halt breakdown of relationship with God, and gain eternity with God.
