THEME: A BURNING DESIRE
TEXT: Psalm 69 vs 9
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Zeal is a passion, a burning desire for something or towards person. David's desire for the presence of had eaten him up, he was so consumed that he became an addict of God's presence. In this life it is matter the desires that burn in your heart, it matters what consumes your time and energy.
Imagine how far you would go in your relationship with God, if you became addicted and eaten up by the zeal for prayer, the presence of God and his word that a day can't go by without these things. Many are passionate about their career, business, love relationship, so addicted to make money but there is zero addiction for the things of God. There is no love for God, only two things matter in this life our relationship with God and his purpose for our life.
The scriptures tells us not to set our affections of the things here on earth but the things that are above where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Don't be consumed by things that matter to men but do not matter to God. Today make a decision to be zealous about knowing God deeper and deeper. Your relationship with God is your strength in the journey of destiny.
CONFESSION
I am consumed and addicted to God's presence, prayer and his word is my daily food, I cant do with it, I can't live without it in Jesus mighty name AMEN
