He had also been born a Roman citizen, with all of its privileges. He had a tremendously fruitful ministry. But he doesn't refer to any of these; he calls himself a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle (a person sent on a mission, having the authority of the one who sent him). A bondservant is one who gives total allegiance to his master. 📌Paul had not always been a servant of Jesus Christ. In fact, he had ance opposed. Him with all his might in his misguided zeal for God. Now Paul is about to share with the believers in Rome and with us today the key to living a life transformed by the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus. Paul himself is an example, a living proof, of the truth of his message.
