The Malevolent Character of Demons
100% of the time evil spirits are in it to destroy humanity, the Chief is the Prince of the Power of the Air, Satan. Now he is also known as the Father of Lies who has no truth in him. For Satan is a thief, liar, and murderer set on killing and destroying humanity who he hates. Even when Satan plays like He is an Angel of Light it’s to seduce and decieve so as to find entrance mainly into the lives of ignorant Christians. One of Satan’s ploys is to imitate the feelings associated with God's presence so that Christians will accept the counterfeit presence of fallen angels as the manifestation of the presence of God.
Now evil spirits have different levels of ability as distinguished in the Scriptures. The lowest level of fallen spirits are called demons, which differ from fallen dark angels. Demons seek entrance into living bodies of people or animals, where fallen dark angels do not. We can see demons as a lesser evil spirit which seeks inhabitation in order to give its highest expression of malevolent character. The main characteristic of people who are being demonized is “torment.” As Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace, so are evil spirits the tormentors of this present evil age. Sadly, many peoples have just reasoned away their demonic suffering to natural causes. In this way evil spirits can bring their torment creating pain and suffering without any challenge or recognition.
This is how peoples begin to give place to evil spirits in their lives in a mattter of degrees. If they passively accept the symptoms as coming from circumstances or natural origins, and do not resist evil a footing will be gained in the person's life. Often evil spirits will begin to torment the mind with thoughts of oppression, or depression. After the person accepts their demonic thoughts, a stronghold of thinking has been created where the evil spirit has gained acess into the mind. Passivity is how evil spirits work as they seek to control the persons they are tormenting, they need the cooperation of the persons will to accept their evil presence. Of course, the person is being deceived into not recognizing the attack as an evil spirit and is deceived into accepting the assault.
After furthur passivity has been achieved, then a greater degree of demonic possession can occur. First the oppression from the outside, then the entrance and possession of the person who has passively given up their will to evil spirits control. Full possession is the complete control of the person spirit, soul and body. In this case demons have entered the person have have taken comeplte control of the mind, and will, and even control their speech and actions. Many peoples who live out on the streets who have been diagnosed with mental illnesses also are primary candidates for being demon possessed. Of course, not all mental illness has their orgin with evil spirits, however many times there is both an organic problem coupled with the presnce of evil spirits which have found control in some degree of the mind.
When demonic possession is achieved, we can clearly see the reason why Jesus Christ called demons “unclean spirits.” As a person demonized with an unclean spirit will exhibit characteristics of uncleaness. Like the mad man of the Gaderennes who ran around naked and cut himself crying out in torment living in the graveyard. Makes you wonder how many millions of people are acting out of demonic uncleaness when the act sexually perverse? Todays culture celebrates sexual perversity not knowing their approval of sexual deviance is often the acceptance of evil spirits demonizing the person they are applauding. Today we see demonized young people pick up assult style riffles and in their demonized tormented minds killing as many innnocent people as possible. America has a lot to answer for when we turned our backs on Gods morality, and celebrated sexual perversion.
