THEME: THE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR WEAKNESS
TEXT: 2Corinthians 12 vs 9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Grace is God at work in a man, the ability of God finding expression in a man. God works well in a place where there is inability this why God said to paul that his grace was sufficient for him. The grace was readily available to empower him to do what his natural ability could not do.
The strength God manifests were there is weakness but this does not happen generically. You have to acknowledge that you are weak and can not do it by yourself. Intially the nature of sin in man desires independence to do without God this why many times God frastrautes our effort so that we see the need for God in our lives. Your weaks is advantage to draw you closer to God but when you are overwhelmed by weakness the devil makes you think God can't forgive you or help you and by the guilt, and shame you distance yourself from God.
God wants to use your weakness to manifest his strength in you. He wants to see what is impossible to you to manifests his possibilities. The vessels that God uses are not perfect they are faulty , frail and weak. God himself becomes the perfection in the imperfect vessels, the strength in the weakness. This is why God told abraham saying walk before me and be perfect.
PRAYER
Lord, I acknowledge that I am weak, faulty and frail. Holy Spirit manifest your strength in my weakness and you ability and in my in ability in Jesus mighty name AMEN
