Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

I slept in today. It felt wonderful. Did not rise until 7 and my body did not tell me I was old. I think it actually was confused enough to thank me. Yeah, that is weird, but I am not going to argue. Today we are heading north to our son’s so that will be a 3-hour drive. We will stay up there the night and return tomorrow afternoon. While my husband helps our son with some projects around the house, I plan to be hooked up to this here computer and push ahead on my book.

Since I am a little out of sorts this morning with the day light shining bright, I may be a little more scatter brained…ah, who am I kidding, that is my superpower.

I watched a quick video this morning that reminded me of the scene from God’s Not Dead (the first one). Where the bad son goes to talk to his mother and she is lucid for just a few minutes but describes the trap that Satan leave for us. This video that I watched this morning was a ‘bait truck.’ They left the back of a U-Haul open with boxes in the front of the truck. A man and woman team climbed into the truck and felt they had hit the payload. Unbeknownst to them, the ones who set the trap were nearby and closed the pull-down door to the box truck. They had a camera mounted in the back to collect evidence and as they pulled away from the curb, you could see the two in the back lose their balance and slide all over the back of the truck. They were trapped until the people who set the trap let them out.

What kind of situation have you found yourself trapped in today? Where has the enemy led you with such enticing opportunities that you are now in his cage? You need to look behind you and see if that door is still open, if it is, you need to exit stage now. The enemy will use all the crayons in the box to color you a picture of entitlement and/or need. That does not make it so. He will use compelling logic. Still it does not make it yours. Finders Keepers is not a thing.

Daily we are tested to fall for different traps. How we react is totally up to us. What tightrope are you walking these days where you know it isn’t quite right, but you do it anyway? What circumstance are you in that looks like it is perfect but there is something off?

Do you walk over people? Do you talk over people? Are you condescending towards people? Are you more entitled than others? Is your agony more important than others? More importantly, are you seeking God’s face and wisdom in your circumstance?

Not everything is a trap, sometimes it is a blessing … however … you need to seek Him in all things. You need to place Him in front of all things. You need Him always. Do not be like the couple in the truck that got caught by their greediness and desires, because when Satan closes the door, you are trapped for eternity.

Be blessed today my friends.
