THEME: INVISIBLE FORCE
TEXT: Ephesian 2 vs 2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Before you came to christ you walked in the direction of the world, The world has a particular direction in which it is moving being led the by prince of this world who is the spirit working in the children of disobedience. When people are disobedient and rebellious to the things of God it is because there is a spirit that influences them to act in that way.
When you choose a life of disobedience to God you open yourself to the Spirit of this world. This spirit empowers and enslaves men to live by the desires of the flesh; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life. Addictions are a result of the influence of this spirit it enslaves you to a particular activity. Every addiction was an activity that turn into a habit then a lifestyle. When you are consist in doing a particular activity you invite the spirit influence of the activity. When you consistently lie you open yourself to the spirit of lying and so is every other activity.
This why many people have failed to quite certain things, they have bound themselves to certain spirits through consistency to sinful activities. To be delivered you need to open yourself to a higher power that can set you free, Jesus is that higher power. Being born again is introducing yourself to power that higher than any demonic power and bondage that is oppressing your life. The lesser power will always bow to the greater power.
CONFESSION
I am a child of God, I am not under the power of the prince of air, it is the Spirit of God who works in me to will and to do the good pleasure of God.
