Our last Outreach Missions Trip to Nashville, IN and Brown County was difficult at times as the weather continues to whiplash, which then brought on sickness. But at the same time was such a blessing.
As I shared this morning at ZUB (Zanesville United Brethren Church), I have been praying that as I do these Outreach Missions Trips I would develop the ability to know what to share with individuals God leads me to and to be able to bless them. That definitely happened this week. I had the opportunity to share with a woman who was struggling with grief and guilt after her ex-husband, and her son's father, descended into alcoholism that led him to be homeless. And then deteriorated to the point he died far too young. I was able to share some of my story and offer encouragement as she dealt with these things. This is what our Outreach Missions Ministry is all about.
I continue to pray that in each place we are led to, God will open the door to share with just one person in a meaningful way. And that when we do, I will be given just the right words for that person. Thank you for all who support our work whether through prayer, financially, or otherwise. You are much appreciated.
This week we will be going to Angola, IN. And will be joined by our friend Keith Hartley who will be assisting with our Outreach work. So blessed to have him as part of this Calling.
