Heavenly Father, As we begin a new week, we come before you with grateful hearts for the powerful Pentecost Sunday service we experienced yesterday. The outpouring of your Holy Spirit has stirred within us a renewed passion for your word and a deep longing to follow your will.
Your word tells us in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." We pray that this power may continue to guide us throughout this week and beyond, enabling us to be bold witnesses for your kingdom.
As we face the challenges and opportunities of this Monday morning, we ask for your guidance and strength. Help us to remember that with you, all things are possible (Mark 10:27) and that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13).
Grant us wisdom as we make decisions and face new challenges at work, at school, and at home. Let your love and grace continue to overflow in our lives so that we may be a light in this world (Matthew 5:14).
We pray for your protection and guidance over our loved ones and ourselves. Shield us from temptation and negativity, and help us to remain focused on your truth and promises. May we embody the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—in our interactions with others.
As we step into this week, may our hearts be open to your leading, and our ears attuned to your voice. Help us to serve others selflessly and to extend grace to those around us. Let our actions reflect your love and inspire those we encounter.
We ask all these things in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
