I had a doctors appointment for a consult for a surgery to allow me to dialysis at home.
The surgeon came in and we had really great discussion about my being a possible candidate for this procedure. He said with my surgeries from the gunshot wound, he wasn’t sure that it would work.
Let me back up. I wasn’t really feeling that I wanted to go through this surgery, but I felt compelled about keeping the appointment. I could tell this doctor was a believer. I told him about my faith in the Word above the reports from the doctors saying my kidney function could not be restored. I told him that I was standing by faith, for my kidneys to be healed. He said, then none of this matters. He said that he’s seen patients that had their kidney function restored.
To me, that was confirmation as to what I am believing. He’s the first doctor that has told me that it’s possible for the kidney function to be restored. It was really a pleasant conversation that we had; it was different than any conversation that I’ve had with any doctor.
I left that office with such encouragement, that I’m on the right path where my faith is concerned
